Flagrock Farmstay - Garden Cottage (pet-friendly)

Enjoy the peaceful surrounds of a genuine farmstay. The Garden Cottage at Flagrock Farmstay is the perfect family friendly getaway in the Scenic Rim. The cottage has a Queen bed and a trundle day bed that converts into 2 single beds. It is ideal for 2 children to sleep on. The cottage is air-conditioned and is self-contained with a kitchen and bathroom. You will have exclusive access to the cottage, outdoor dining area, fire pit and BBQ facilities during your stay. The space The Garden Cottage is suitable for families with 2 adults and a maximum of 2 children due to bedding configurations. Basic breakfast provisions of bread, milk, muesli, assorted spreads, eggs (if available) and tea and coffee are included and is complimentary. Please note there is no TV, however Wifi is available, plus board games and books. There are fabulous views at the property and outdoor dining is encouraged. The property is pet-friendly and dogs are on the property as well as free range chickens, geese, donkeys, goats, sheep, alpacas and cattle. Please note our geese can be quite territorial (but harmless) and have been known to chase (but not attack) children and dogs. We just ask our guests with children and dogs to be mindful as they can be confronting :) just keep calm and stand your ground. They will move on and leave you alone. You are responsible for your pet at all times and if they have a tendency to hunt and chase they must be on a lead. Pets can sleep inside the cottage with appropriate BYO pet bedding but are not allowed on the furniture or day bed. The Garden cottage is fully fenced and safe for your pets during the day. Please clean up after your pets and keep the facilities in the same state as when you entered. As we are in a rural area, please ensure that your pets are up to date with tick and flea treatments prior to your stay. Please note that we have a noisy Rooster Kenny who may crow early and chatty Guinea Fowls. Ear plugs are provided in the bathroom drawer if you are a light sleeper or you are welcome to bring your own. Please do not enter the paddock with your pets where the donkeys or alpacas are grazing. They have strong protection instincts and a firm dislike of dogs and will attempt to kick them if they feel threatened. If you would like to pat our animals, animal feeding can be organised by request. We respectfully ask that you do not leave your children unattended or allow them to chase the chickens, ducks and geese that free range on the property. This is upsetting for them and the safety of our animals as well as your children is paramount. Thank you for understanding. If you see us around on the farm you are welcome to say Hi. If we are home we will endeavor to pop down and introduce ourselves. Otherwise you will have complete privacy during your stay and we are only a short distance away in the main house and always contactable by mobile or message if you need anything. Please note this is a working farm in a rural area and we kindly ask that you are respectful of our farm animals and of our property. There may be tractor and vehicle noise, occasional workshop equipment noise and animal noises as can be expected on a working farm. There are bugs and flying insects in Summer (we suggest keeping lights to a minimum to reduce flying insects during Summer), Winters can be cold and frosty and dust can be relentless on windy days. However this is the joy of living in the country and on a farm. We do endeavour to ensure our guests are as comfortable as possible and we encourage you to embrace the farm lifestyle. In return we promise you serene views, a relaxing stay, clean facilities and friendly hospitality. Please read the farm waiver prior to making a booking to ensure you understand the conditions of entry for your stay. Guest access Press the green button to the left of the gate for entry. The gate will automatically close, you have a 30 second window to enter through the gate before it closes. Follow the signs to the Garden Cottage, which is clearly signed. Cottage will be unlocked. Guests are welcome to explore the property at their leisure but please note that this is at your own risk. Other things to note Flagrock Farmstay Conditions of Entry, Waiver and Release of Liability By proceeding with this booking, you understand and acknowledge that: 1. You are responsible for the safety of yourself and your dependants. Please do not leave children and pets unsupervised. Farms do have a number of risks and you are responsible for your own safety at all times. The farm does have uneven surfaces, rocky edges and trip hazards. 2. Farm animals can be unpredictable and can behave erratically. Please do not enter day yards or paddocks without permission or supervision by your hosts. Please do not stand behind any farm animal as they may kick as a protection instinct. Please do not feed the animals leftovers or other food as they have specific diets. 3. Please do not enter any fenced areas without permission. Some fences may be electrified. 4. Do not attempt to operate any farm equipment without permission. 5. Do not swim in the creek or throw rubbish or food in the creek. 6. Snakes are prevalent on the property, please keep to maintained areas and wear appropriate footwear at all times. Do not walk through long grass or climb over rocky crevices and logs. 7. If you have recently returned from overseas, or if you are feeling unwell, we respectfully request that you do not visit the farm at this time due to biosecurity reasons and for the health and safety of other guests on the farm. If you do choose to participate in any farm related activities or wish to explore the farm on your own, you will undertake this solely at your own risk. The proprietors shall not be liable for any injuries, death, loss or damage occasioned to you, your children or pets during your stay. By proceeding with this booking you understand and agree to these terms and conditions and waive any liability to the proprietors of Flagrock Farmstay.
