Your private room with attached private dressing room & private bathroom is accessed from our library so you will likely meet other guests. The space Room 1 at The Boho is a gorgeous space where you'll find a large private room with huge bay window, a comfy bed, kitschy fireplace, closet, a cozy seating area, and a table and chairs. Your attached private dressing room includes a wet bar with coffee and tea supplies. Beyond here is your own private bathroom. The room is grand – original character, high ceilings, huge bay window – and it's adorned with fun antiques and eclectic art. Original fir floors have carpets from various corners of the globe. Your private bathroom includes a walk-in shower under a skylight. Is this an old stuffy place? Ha, nope! Grab a record player from the library and spin a record, relax and watch people walking their dogs, and bikes zooming by, through big old heritage windows, while you get swallowed by ridiculously oversized cozy chairs. Enjoy the shared spaces: the common library where you'll find room to stretch out, relax and read, with records, books, magazines, games, info on local events, and more. There's an old desk with all the desk-type things you might need. And there's a printer. And chess, of course. In the foyer by the washer and dryer you'll find cushions to take outside for the table and chairs under the magnolia tree. Come and get a real feel for an authentic Victoria neighbourhood on our quiet street under giant trees, with the convenience of town just a few blocks away. Sorry we cannot offer any facilities for cooking food, but we do provide a shared mini fridge for your food or medications and a shared microwave for reheating food. We are a BnB and breakfast is served in our main floor dining room between 8-9 am every day. Our driveway fits regular car-length vehicles. Anything longer, please check with us. We can direct you to free street parking if necessary. Guest access Punch in your code (plus the bottom button) at our red front door to enter the common foyer, and ascend to the library. Your locked door to your private area is to the right. Other things to note • The Boho is 134 years old, so it creaks! The soundproofing has been much improved but our windows and doors, walls and floors still won't seal you in like a modern concrete condo. The ceilings are high and the rooms airy. You may meet other guests or one of us in the library or foyer. We look forward to saying hello! • Our driveway only fits average-length vehicles, so, a pickup truck with four doors (for example) will simply not fit in our driveway. It's important that vehicles in our driveway do not hang over the sidewalk. But please don't fret: there's plenty of free street parking. We can share details! • The tap water in Victoria is wonderful and really safe to drink. You won't need to bring bottled water. • Arriving by bike? We have room, and you can plug in your ebikes. • Fun fact: the original occupants, the Scholefield family, had 12 kids and JUST ONE TOILET! Those were good times.
