Twin Spruce Craftsman
It took us two years to build our Craftsman style house on what was an abandoned century-old concrete block building. Every aspect is custom, from the oak beams cut from a neighboring woods to the kitchen and bathrooms, the Western fir stairway and four gable brackets, to the eucalyptus and tile floors. The house is accessible through the garage on the side or though the front door. The front entrance features a breath-taking view of the expansive kitchen and dining room, the 30-foot ceiling and custom oak beams. The dining room includes a farm table, 7-foot island and bistro table. The loft over the laundry is an office space with desk and pull-out couch bed. The living room is a cozy place to watch TV or play games. The connecting bathroom has a tub shower. Our main bedroom features a king bed, walk-in closet and large bathroom with shower. The guest bedroom includes a queen bed and walk-in closet. The garage and back door also have keypad deadbolts, same code as front door. It is all yours for your stay. The mechanical room is not locked. Inside is the furnace/AC, water treatment, on-demand water heater and electrical service. If an outlet should fail, check to see if nearest GFI is tripped, and then check electrical box for a tripped circuit. Or just call us. We are available 24/7 by phone or through Airbnb. Our house is a quick drive to Hillsdale College, Baw Beese Lake, a number of public parks, a bike trail and the North Country Trail. The red house across the parking lot is an Airbnb we have operated for seven years with 250 reviews and Superhost status throughout.
