The space Ideal location to enjoy Alaska year-round. Experience wildlife, glaciers, skiing, hiking, Iditarod activities, Fur Rondy, northern lights, fishing, food, and local entertainment… all in and around Anchorage. Small, cozy apartment with plenty of amenities to keep 1-2 people comfortable for a short or a long stay. Great location for an Anchorage-based vacation, visiting family & friends, work, or a place to land between Alaska travel adventures. The apartment is attached to the host's home & has a secure, separate entrance. The kitchenette includes a small refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, and electric kettle. There is dishware, eating utensils, glasses, wine glasses, & mugs. A starter supply of ground coffee, coffee maker filters, cream, sugar, salt & pepper & a variety of teas are available. A cozy love seat & small table & chairs are available for eating, working & relaxing. There is also a fireplace in the living room/kitchenette to enjoy in colder weather. There is a fully stocked gourmet grocery store across the street. It has an array of fresh produce, plus a coffee shop, bakery goods, deli, soups, salads, and savory warm meal options, including fresh stone oven-baked pizza. Only blocks from the entrance to Chester Creek Trail, that leads into Anchorage's extensive trail system, which runs throughout the city. It is a great central location for easy access to the airport, train station, museums, hiking trails, and day trips to glaciers, wildlife center, Girdwood, Telkeetna, and other Anchorage local sightseeing. Guest access There is a separate entry for the in law apartment with keypad lock entry. Not ADA accessible. Other things to note THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK: Our apartment is a cozy one bed/bedroom, two room apartment that works nicely for 1-2 people and is not set up for kids. There is -a microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, electric kettle, and a small refrigerator/freezer, but no stove. -a great grocery store with food (hot and cold) and specialty coffees across the street, a lovely local bakery/eatery nearby, and many takeout options and excellent restaurants 8-12 blocks from the apartment. -no washer/dryer, but laundry and dry cleaners within 1.5 miles -some urban traffic noise -no TV -excellent wifi for streaming entertainment or for work -easy street parking close by -a small courtyard with sitting area -a small friendly dog that occassionaly barks briefly to alert us to things AND -we request that only people who do not smoke or vap book this apartment due to host's extreme smoke intolerance. -we expect guests to be fully vaccinated for their safety and the protection of others.
