Cabin in Cantwell

A beautiful 30-minute drive to the entrance of Denali Park, our cabin is the perfect location for travelers who want to see the real Alaska and unplug. With a view of the Alaska Range and Drashner Lake, you'll be staying in gorgeous country. If you love to hike, canoe, mountain bike, or fly fish--or you just want to relax and disconnect surrounded by mountains, then consider our sunny, modern two-bedroom cabin. On clear days you can see Denali from the cabin. The space After spending the day in Denali National Park or exploring the scenic Denali Highway, this cabin offers everything you'll need: a beautiful loft with a view of Drashner Lake, two comfortable sleeping areas (one in the loft and the other on the first floor) and a bright modern bathroom. Save money by taking advantage of the full kitchen, where you'll have access to a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, oven and stove. We have pots and pans and basic spices. Outside you'll find a grill with a mountain view. A short hike brings you to our lake, where you'll find a dock for relaxing or watching the loons or drinking your morning coffee. We have two well-used mountain bikes available for guests and an older canoe if you'd like to take a paddle on Drashner Lake. George sometimes uses the canoe during the day as he is a local fishing guide, but he can make sure it's available for you in the evenings. We would also be happy to give guests advice on local hiking and fly fishing. Note that our cabin does not have Wifi. Also, guests with AT&T and GCI will have good reception, but guests with Verizon will not have cell service at the cabin due to a damaged transmitter. If you drive 3 miles back into the gas station, you will have both cell service and Wifi. Guest access You will have access to the entire cabin. Other things to note This is the real Alaska, so expect to hear some dogs barking and float planes taking off from the lake now and again. This is a great base to start your exploration of what is one of the most scenic areas of the state.
