The space YOWIE is an invisible service boutique hotel, cafe and retail shop located on Philadelphia’s iconic South Street, a stone’s throw from Independence Mall and many other eclectic neighborhoods. We offer a thoughtfully-curated guest experience merging work from heritage and emerging designers. Guest access The morning of your arrival, you will receive an email and link for all things YOWIE which includes your guest portal, room and building access code, city guides and information for your stay. If you need an early check in or late check out, shoot us an email or text and we will always do our best to accommodate. Other things to note YOWIE is an invisible service hotel. So what does that mean? We use some pretty cool tech to get you in and out without the hassle of a front desk or check in process…. But if you need a helping hand or a great recommendation, we are only a text or call away :) Our concierge hours are Monday - Thursday & Sunday from 8am to 8pm and Friday & Saturday 8am - 10pm. Terms & Conditions – We’re thrilled to have you as our guest. To provide the best experience for you, please review the following guidelines.  Yowie Hotel Policy Reservations: Reservations are held with a credit card and charged 100% of the reservation at time of booking. Credit cards are the only accepted form of payment. Guests must be 21 and older. Cancellations: 50% of prepayments are refundable when canceled 7 days before arrival or earlier. 0% refundable if canceled after. No exceptions will be made for weather, and there are no refunds for shortened stays or early departures. Because of our size, cancellations affect us significantly. We hope you can understand our strict policy. Occupancy: Guests must maintain a maximum of two overnight guests per one-bedroom suite, and four overnight guests per two-bedroom suite or suites with two queen beds. Children are permitted as “extra” guests in the room under the age of five, and we do offer the option for a pack-and-play. Check In: Yowie is an invisible service hotel and has no full time on-site personnel. Prior to your arrival, you will receive a 6-digit access code for the front entrance and for your suite. Check In Time: 4:00pm Check Out Time: 11:00am *If early or late check out is needed, please reach out to us directly. Quiet Hours: We ask that all guests be respectful of our quiet hours from 10:00pm – 7:00am. Please be considerate of other guests in suites and our neighbors. Any complaint made by another guest or a neighbor may result in immediate eviction and a fine of $500 if the problem persists. Check Out: We are a small boutique hotel; timely checkouts are vital to our operation. Unauthorized late checkouts incur a $200 violation fee. Accessibility: Yowie features one ADA accessible suite on the ground level (Suite 101). Smoking: YOWIE is a non-smoking hotel. Therefore, smoking is not allowed in any private suites, public areas or cafe. A smoking cleaning fee of $300 will be assessed in the event smoking does occur in the guest rooms. Missing or Damaged Property: Each suite is carefully curated and inspected prior to guest arrival and upon check out. Should the Yowie Team find any items missing and/or damaged in the suite after guest checkout, the cost of repair and/or replacement will be charged to the guest’s credit card on file. Such damage would include the cost of cleaning textiles if the guest smokes in a room, feces, damage to furniture, rugs, walls, fixtures and bedding; and/or replacing missing items such as towels, furnishings, kitchenware, books, décor, etc. Security Surveillance: There is 24/7 monitored security surveillance in the common areas and exterior of the property for our guest safety and security. Parking: Please read parking signs for street parking thoroughly to avoid tickets or towing. Garage overnight parking is available at 215 Lombard Parking Garage a block away. It is located on Lombard Street between 2nd and 3rd Street. Mail and Packages: Due to no on-site personnel or concierge, YOWIE cannot accept any mail or packages. Luggage: Yowie has limited luggage storage which is on a first come first serve basis. Please reach out prior to your arrival if you would like to store your belongings. Pets: While we love furry friends, YOWIE is not a pet friendly hotel. Deliveries: Guests must be present for any third-party deliveries (food, drink, services). Our address is 226 South Street but the Hotel entrance is located on South American Street. Parties: We do not allow parties in our spaces. YOWIE Hotel enforces a strict No Party Policy for the comfort and security of all hotel guests.  Excessive noise will not be tolerated at any time. Should guests violate this policy, a violation will result in immediate eviction from the hotel without refund and a violation fee. Unauthorized Guests:  Guests not listed on your reservation can be considered unauthorized guests and can be in violation of our policy and terms. Should an unauthorized guest be in the room this gives us the right to cancel your reservation and we have the right to remove any unauthorized guests who are violating our terms.  When confirming your booking, make sure to read and agree to these terms & conditions. Failure to comply with our terms & conditions may result in penalty fee(s) and/or eviction.
