The space Our Mountain Vista Chalet, nestled in the heart of the High Country, offers an ideal mountain retreat! A short drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway showcases spectacular view. Just a 10-minute walk away, you can enjoy skiing, tubing, and ice skating, making it a perfect winter getaway. In the summer time, just a short drive to the golf course and tennis courts. Whether you love skiing, hiking, stargazing, biking, wineries, shopping, alpine roller coasters, ice skating, or tubing, your home away from home is just a few miles away. Soaring ceilings in the open great room boast windows full of natural light and a fireplace surrounded by cozy and comfortable furnishings. The chalet is quite spacious with plenty of room for family and friends to congregate and enjoy games, puzzles or watch the smart Roku TV. The newly stocked kitchen provides comforts of home for meals eaten while watching spectacular sunsets from the private balcony or vast dining room windows. Two master bedroom suites: one master offers a king bed with a twin bed (great for parents who have children) and the other master suite offers a queen bed. Both master suites offer en suite full bathrooms. A bunk bedroom has a twin over queen bunk and a twin bed. Perfect for guests wanting to play games on the Roku Smart TV. The bunk room has a detached full bathroom. All rooms offer extra space for blow up mattresses. The chalet offers two blowup mattresses for your use. Additional chalet amenities include fully stocked kitchen including coffee grinder, drip coffee maker, Keurig coffee maker, stove tea pot, new pots and pans, baking pans, waffle iron, panini maker, crock pot, egg boiler, and toaster oven. The newly decorated dining room and outdoor seating provide ample choices of dining. Entertainment amenities include games, puzzles, three Smart Roku TV's, and a shelf of books. The main floor laundry washer and dryer is available to use. We do not have air conditioning; however, open window, fans and tower fans allow fresh mountain air to circulate. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house, except a few owners closets that have housekeeping items. Other things to note 1) We will consider dogs, The dog needs to be at least a year old and free of fleas. NO DOGS IN HEAT PLEASE! A pet fee is required due to additional cleaning requirements to rid the place of dog hair. If fleas, urine, excessive hair or damage is found by housekeeping, guest will be required to pay beyond the normal pet fee. Most places in the area welcome dogs, so your furry pet can join you on vacation! 2) Guest must list accurate number of adults, children and dogs. If this changes, guest must edit booking to reflect accurate number. 3) The chalet easily accommodates 10 people when using provided blow up mattresses; however, we do require a fee for guests over 6 people. Guests with prior reviews may request special consideration to remove the extra cost at host discretion. 4) High chair and port-a-crib are free of charge upon request. 5) Guest is responsible to inform Host of issues in a timely manner that allows Host the ability to repair. Refund requests will not be honored the day of or after checkout for any issue not reported during the stay.
