Peaceful and centrally-located period style Fishermans cottage. Just a stone’s throw from the harbour and all its amenities, it provides the perfect base for exploring the local area and anything further afield. Built in the 1800s for the local quarry men, it’s full of history and charm. Recently renovated and re-furnished, the cottage provides you with comfort for up to four people to enjoy and one small, well-behaved dog. The space The downstairs is home to a beautiful, bespoke oak kitchen and comfortable living area. It is fit with a wood burning stove, adding to the warm and cosy feel of the property and full gas-fired central heating throughout, even the winter months are welcoming at Palm Cott. The two bedrooms sleep up to four guests. There is a double bedroom, fitted with wardrobe and a chair, making it the perfect spot for some light reading. The second bedroom is fitted with 2 single beds that can be 'Zip & linked', but must be advised in advance of an arrival to ensure that's possible. The bathroom is found upstairs, fit with a shower and is beautifully decorated. A starter supply of toilet rolls and hand soap will be available in the bathroom. Palm Cott also offers a unique special two-tiered decking area to the rear of the property, where you can enjoy the sunshine on a warm day. The cottage also has a patio area to the front of the property, equipped with a table and chairs to enjoy a morning coffee or alfresco meal. Shared off-street parking is available, subject to availability on Wren Hill, a quiet road located accessible via the back garden. If you have any questions please send us a message :) Guest access The entire property and front and rear decking areas. Other things to note You will find Brixham harbour a ten-minute walk away, home to plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants serving today’s catch straight from the bay. Enjoy paddle boarding on the nearby Breakwater Beach or take a ferry across the bay to Torquay. Brixham is a favourite all year round for dog lovers and walkers alike. The coastline at Brixham is dominated by one of the UK’s greatest and best-loved nature trails – The South West Coast Path. Just down the road (via the number 18 bus or a ten-minute drive) is Kingswear. The steam train to Paignton, Churston and Totnes can be taken from here. Also, you can take the upper or lower ferry across to Dartmouth from here, which is a must. The ferry from Brixham Harbour takes thirty-minutes to Torquay where there are arcades, ice cream and a great beach. You can also board the foot ferry to Totnes which is a beautiful town with shops and restaurants. Brixham is ideally placed to explore the stunning English Riviera and the rest of South Devon. Note: The steps from the rear entrance up to the gate at the top of the decking can be steep so not suited to anyone with mobility issues. Changeover Day: Flexible
