The space Welcome to Palmer Lake Mountain Retreat, our peaceful escape sitting just off the foothill of Raspberry Mountain and just a few steps away from Pinecrest Weddings & Event Center. We're just minutes from the historic downtown Palmer Lake, hiking, fishing, and much more. We renovated the walkout first level to bring all the comforts of home to our "home away from home" in the mountains. Our family has made many memories here, and we're hopeful you'll be able to do the same. Located at the mountain foothill, our retreat boasts an abundance of wildlife, providing an amazing opportunity to witness the beauty of nature with sightings of deer, bobcats, raccoons, and sometimes even black bears. While the presence of these creatures enhances the charm of the surroundings, it is crucial to bear in mind that they are wild animals, demanding some precautionary measures. During your stay, we kindly request you to take the following precautions: ensure the doors are securely locked at night, refrain from leaving food outside, and utilize the supplied strap lock to secure the garbage can. By doing so, we can coexist harmoniously with the wildlife while respecting their natural instincts and preserving a safe environment for both guests and animals. Guest access You will be staying on the recently renovated lower level, which consists of three main interior spaces. Firstly, there is the great room, which includes a kitchen and a small dining room table. Adjacent to the great room, there are two bedrooms. One bedroom is furnished with a full-size bed, the second bedroom has a full-size sleeper sofa. Additionally, you will find a brand-new bathroom with a comfortable shower. Access to the premises is through the locked sliding door located on the backyard patio. Please refrain from attempting to open the front door, as the upper level is reserved exclusively for the host's use. Occasionally, my family utilizes the upper level when guests are not occupying the house, just to ensure that your stay remains undisturbed.
