The space This well-loved 1980s family home has undergone several substantial renovations, including extensions to the floor area and the addition of a carport. The result is a modern home with strong architectural design and character. The extensions also included the construction of sizeable timber decks on the northern and western sides of the home for outdoor relaxation and entertaining. Two sets of bi-folding doors provide easy access/flow to the deck areas from the living areas, perfect for entertaining. The home enjoys wonderful views of the Botanical Gardens and of the surrounding hill-scape from the living areas and the main bedrooms. The layout of the property offers an excellent level of privacy and is nestled amongst established silver elm trees, fruiting citrus trees, a delish avocado tree & grape vines when in season. The spacious open-plan kitchen & dining room with original native timber floor, nicely offset by the white walls and kitchen cabinetry, is just waiting for you and your family to come and enjoy a meal, or sit in the sun with a glass of wine. A comfortable, airy lounge with built-in cabinetry and an open gas fire adjoins the kitchen and second 'formal' dining and entertainment area. On the upper floor, two good-sized bedrooms. The master suite has a super-king bed with an ensuite and large built-in wardrobes. The second bedroom has a King-size bed and window seating. The expansive beamed ceiling on this level provides a sense of volume and spaciousness. The elevated position from this level offers amazing views. The home office is also on this level, with built-in desks and shelves, amazing views and a perfect position to get work done away from the main living spaces. On the main level is another bedroom with a king-size bed, the family bathroom with a separate toilet, and the laundry. To keep the kids entertained, there is a playroom fully equipped with kids' toys & sofa beds. A double carport easily accessed directly off the street with remote remote-controlled door provides secure parking and storage. Situated on a quiet no-exit street on Napier Hill within a few minutes' drive of the city’s amenities. Guest access Guests have access to the whole house, except for the upstairs bedroom walk-in wardrobe and the basement storage areas. Other things to note The house isn't magazine-perfect, and it is always being upgraded, but only between stays. It's a great house for relaxing in and enjoying time with your friends or family, eating and drinking or lying in the sun. We want you to enjoy it like you would your parents' house, it's relaxed and full of love, but you know not to put your feet on the couch or your mum will tell you off! :)
