Our property is nestled between rolling meadow hillsides and majestic secluded woodlands. Enjoy the serenity of country living in our newly renovated farmhouse located in southern Indiana which is just miles away from shopping and local attractions including Cave Country Canoes, Marengo Cave and the historic first capital of Indiana. The space August Smith Farm (a working farm) provides a relaxing stay no matter if you live in the local area or you are traveling from out of town. Allow us to provide you with a retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life, while providing all the comforts and conveniences of modern living. Our home offers modern amenities while still maintaining its original rustic charm. The two story farmhouse is fully furnished and provides a spacious living area, 4 bedrooms (three full and three twin size beds), Mainstream Cable and high speed internet with WiFi, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, coffee maker and Keurig machine, large refrigerator and freezer, Pur water pitcher filter. Our fully equipped kitchen offers you everything for your cooking needs. Step outside and enjoy the scenery surrounding the property. We have numerous outdoor seating options, an outdoor fire pit, and activities including hiking and fishing from our catch and release stocked pond. Relax and unwind after a day spent outdoors by streaming channels on the 55” Roku TV in our living room, or enjoy one of the other 24” Roku TVs provided in each of the three upstairs bedrooms. Our large enclosed porch recreational area has family friendly games. Guest access Stay within designated property areas marked (30 acres) when hiking. Do not enter any of the out buildings including the barn. Other things to note Security cameras are located in the entrance and exit of the property outside. These cameras are functional and have recording capabilities.
