Quiet house in Mar Lodj

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. I am pleased to offer you my home on the island of Mar Lodj. It is located outside the village for more calm. It includes 1 large bedroom with 2 canopy beds, a kitchen, a bathroom with European-style toilet and a shower. There is also a space to relax and to eat good Senegalese dishes prepared by myself, Alioune. Website: www.lapaillottemarlodj.com The space The construction is recent and the facilities are being financed as we go through the bookings! We started Airbnb without running water or electricity. Today, the shower, toilet and sink work thanks to the purchase of a water tank. The flow is low but enough to shower! (Maybe less for shampooing😅). A request has been made for the connection to running water which will allow a greater flow, stay tuned! Thanks to all previous guests and the next ones for allowing for gradual improvements. As far as electricity is concerned, the house is connected to and powered by 5 large solar panels which will allow you to recharge your phones easily and use the fan provided. Guest access The easiest way to get to Mar Lodj is to go to Ndangane Village where you will find shared canoes for 300 CFA francs/person Other things to note Coming to stay at Alioune's hut is above all connecting to the local life of Mar Lodj, this peaceful island surrounded by mangroves. You have the option to order Senegalese dishes carefully prepared with love by Alioune, a former employee (for over 20 years) in the hotel industry in Dakar. You can also ask him to take you on different activities such as canoe and cart rides, a tour of the village, unique encounters with locals, demonstrations of Senegalese wrestling at sunset on the edge of the mangroves, etc. Alioune is an experienced host who knows how to take care of his guests, so don't hesitate if you want to experience an authentic stay. Your stay is flexible according to your convenience, Alioune can accompany you throughout the stay if you wish to be and learn more about the local life of Mar Lodj but can be much more discreet if you are looking for rest and solitude, a mix of both is also possible, you just have to let us know and communicate 🇸🇳🌞
