The Eagle's Nest Treehouse
Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. We are less than 1 mile from the Cedar Sink Entrance in Mammoth Cave National Park. Enjoy the sound of the seasonal waterfalls on the property, while relaxing on the elevated deck in the trees. Please enjoy the area right around the treehouses. You are welcome to explore but know it is at your own risk. These units have recently been built so there is plenty of wildlife around. Always be cautious of snakes as well as bugs. There is a creek right behind the units, the rocks are slippery and when there has been rain the water can be fairly forceful. Children should always be accompanied with an adult while exploring the area. There is a gravel parking area for 1-2 cars right beside your treehouse. Please do not park in the grass or at the fire pits. If you need to park a car up by the road on the main gravel area, you may do so, but please do not block the drive of any of the units. Feel free to text or call us at the number provided within reasonable hours. Being a treehouse, we tried to equip it with comfort as well as keep it true to the treehouse feel. This unit sleeps 6 comfortably. The A-frame has a loft with a private bed housing a queen bed and a sliding pocket door. The open portion of the loft has a twin bed and trundle setup. (Please note when the trundle is pulled out, access to the queen room is blocked). It easily slides back and forth, but if you have someone that gets up frequently throughout the night, we felt it is important to know that feature. The couch on the main floor offers a pullout queen as well. The bedding for this bed is in hallway closet. We want this to be a fun getaway and have included cots in the closet as well. Kitchen: The kitchen has a toaster oven, microwave, and coffee maker. There is a gas grill by the fire-pit as well. We have utensils to grill as well as grill liners for easy cleanup. Fire pit: There are a few logs by the fire-pit, but the logs are not covered. If there has been rain recently, we can't guarantee they will ignite easily. You may want to bring extra dry wood and/or something to get the fire going. We particularly think the fires tarter bricks work well. We do not have roasting sticks.
