The main floor consists of large newly renovated kitchen and great room, two bedrooms (both queens), and two full bathrooms, one including a washer/dryer. The upper level is made up of an open balcony overlooking the great room, two bedrooms (a king and two twins) and an additional office space. The lower level is a walkout basement that goes straight to the lake and boasts a second kitchen and living room, a queen bedroom, a full bedroom, a bunk room and an additional full bath. Guests will have access to whole house with the exception of owners closets. We are available throughout your stay for any questions or support with the home. Highland lake is located in the northwest corner of CT and is one of the cleanest boating and swimming lakes in the state. It has a surface area of 445 acres and an average depth of 24 feet, It is popular for many recreational activities including boating and fishing. It is considered by the CT Dept of environmental protection a trophy trout and bass management lake. Highland Lake shores are heavily built up with residences, both seasonal and year round. There is a marina in first bay where boat rentals are available. The town of winsted is close by and has many area restaurants and shopping. A car is recommended. Pets are welcome for an additional cleaning fee. Limited baby gear upon request.
