A "slow" and sustainable way to experience Sicily! The space Casa Zahar is composed of two floors, connected by an external staircase, each with an independent apartment. Casa Zahar has three listings on Airbnb: - one for the apartment on the Ground Floor only, - one for the apartment on the Upper Floor only, - one for the full villa for exclusive use. When booking either one of the two apartments, you only book the related floor and you may have to share the outdoor spaces with other potential guests staying on the other. You are currently viewing the listing related to the apartment on the Ground Floor only. On the ground floor, there are two double bedrooms (one with direct access to the olive trees in the Mediterranean garden in the back of the house, and the other one with direct access to the pool area), one bathroom with a walk-in shower, one living room with open kitchen and two exclusive verandas. The wide outdoor spaces include a swimming pool with beach entry, a solarium with bamboo sunbeds and an outdoor solar shower, a relaxing area by the pool, a charcoal barbecue, and a wooden deck for your meals under the olive trees. In terms of amenities, the bedrooms and the living room are provided with air conditioning (with both cool and heat modes, depending on the season). The kitchen is fully equipped kitchen and features a dishwasher, fridge, electric oven, microwave, and coffee machine working with compostable pods. There is one washing machine in the laundry room which is accessed externally. A private parking space is available within the property. Other things to note - Design and sustainability are the villa's cornerstones. The interior floors are made with the traditional “pastella di Pantelleria” (a wild island off the coast of Sicily). All the wooden pieces were handmade by local carpenters and you will find some works of art created by a Sicilian artist (do not hesitate to ask us for information if you see something you like). Our goal is to reduce our environmental impact on the planet: water and electricity run on solar energy, the villa is plastic-free, and extensive use has been made of recycled materials. - The Castellammare del Golfo City Council applies a tourist tax of €1.50 per person per night for up to 6 consecutive nights. This tax is not included in the Airbnb price and must be paid at check-out.
