Check out our other listing on the same property! airbnb.com/h/casanenaopg The space Welcome to El Oasis, our cozy and character-filled retreat located in a 1904 Portland home that’s been thoughtfully converted into three unique living spaces. Perched on a hill, the home’s charm comes with several steps — two flights (10–15 steps each) from the sidewalk up to the front door. Once you arrive, you’ll find your own private entrance with a cheerful turquoise door, leading to a fully self-contained one-bedroom apartment. This converted basement suite features a full kitchen, comfortable living area, separate bedroom, and private bathroom — you do share the ceiling wall with the unit above in the house. With 7'-3" ceilings, the space feels cozy and inviting (though tall guests should keep the height in mind). We live in the unit directly above, so you will occasionally hear the natural sounds of life — footsteps, laughter, dogs, and kids. To make your stay more restful, we provide earplugs and a white noise machine for use at night. The house was build in 1904 which means there is no exterior insulation, so you'll likely hear neighbors doors opening and closing and some muffed noises from our unit. It's part of the charm! But you should be aware, and it's why we offer a white noise machine and earplugs. Parking is free along the block and adjacent streets! It’s first come first serve and the property does not have a dedicated driveway. True city living! Something to keep in mind for folks traveling with a car. We have two dogs under 25lbs that live with us :) Hosting a larger group? We also have another private unit on the same property — Casa Nena — perfect for families or friends who want to stay close but enjoy their own space. Guest access El Oasis has its own entrance located on the left side of the property. There's an "el oasis" sign on the fence as you walk up the stairs to help guide you towards that side of the house. Your entrance is a turquoise colored door. Other things to note We are a pet friendly property in all our units for an extra fee of $25 PER pet for the whole stay . Airbnb only charges for (1) pet, even if the reservation allows more pets. We will send a separate charge through the app if there are additional pets. - those with severe allergies should be aware we do not offer any pet free units/ The backyard is shared with our other units, so please be attentive to your pet in the backyard. :) Registration Details 26ASTR-APP-00011
