Charlie’s Woodland Hut

Charlie’s Hut sits in the heart of our woodland offering immersive sounds of wildlife, privacy and a relaxing experience. From the luxury of the cosy cabin, you can enjoy a dining experience inside the Hut or step outside and dine amongst the nature of the woodland. Enjoy a BBQ / Fire pit in the summer air or take comfort during the colder months. Charlie’s Hut is a spa suite in the woods, featuring a Hot Tub with cover, an outdoor bath which can also be used as a cold plunge. The space Charlie’s hut is modern and offers a relaxing stay for all guests. OUTDOOR FIREPIT / BBQ: The hut has a seating area with a fire pit. We provide one bag of complementary logs for your stay which is set up on the firepit before your arrival, guests bring their own firelighters & charcoal. INSIDE THE HUT: The Hut has a modern fully fitted kitchen & bathroom. The bathroom has a toilet, fresh towels & a modern shower; whilst the kitchen features a gas cooker, small fridge, seating area with a dining table, heating, combi-microwave, kettle & toaster. OUTSIDE OF THE HUT: Enjoy the relaxation of the woods while you sit in the Hot Tub or have an outdoor bath outside with bubble bath & bath salts provided. There is also cold running water for the bath if you’d like a cold water plunge before your Sauna. SAUNA: A basket of firelighters, sticks & logs are inside the Hut for you to take over to the wood burning Sauna. Please note that the Sauna takes 50 mins - 1 hour to heat to full temperature. This is an exciting experience for you to prepare the Sauna for your own use! Dogs are welcome at £15 per stay 🐶 Guest access The 5 person Hot Tub and outdoor bath are completely private in Charlie’s Hut. The wood burning sauna is shared between Charlie & Bodos Hut, directly in the middle of both huts. It is easy access & there is plenty of time for the two huts to have private use of the sauna. We ask guests to be respectful & allow the first guest who lit the sauna to have first use, following on from this, guests can go in & out as they please. We have a door sign for “free” & “busy” outside the hut which you can hang on the door so others know when it’s available. Other things to note We provide free parking for up to 2 cars or 1 van during your stay. We have a number of local restaurants we would recommend which include:- - Brizzolari’s Italians Rowlands Gill (3.5 miles) - The Pavilion, Cantonese (4.9 miles) - Woodmans Arms, Whickham (5.5 miles) - Wheelbirks ice cream Parlour (8 miles) - Bayberry Hollow (5 miles) - a lovely cafe for breakfast or lunch.
