Rose Cottage by Ullswater, Nr Keswick

Newly renovated for July 2023! Stay at this beautiful cottage, surrounded by hills in the lake district. A tranquil escape for you, and all the family. With amenities close by and the lake on your doorstep, you will have everything you need for an incredible holiday. This 3 bedroomed cottage has a King master room, a double bedroom and a single bedroom, with views out over the fells. The space Rose cottage is full of character dating from the 1700/1800. The beams in the front room are from old ship masts and bring bags of charm. It has been lovingly restored with a sympathetic modern touch. In the entrance hall there is a large cupboard for coats and boots. Leading into the country kitchen with plenty of storage, a large fridge freezer and double oven. Heading into the lounge/ dining room, with dual aspect windows looking out onto the cottage garden and to the fells beyond. There is high speed Wi-Fi (which we used to use to work from home) and a smart TV to stream your own shows and movies. **Please note unfortunately due to changes in government regulations we are currently not allowed to use the log burner until further notice further notice ** Upstairs are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed and views out over the garden and to the fells beyond. The second bedroom has a small double bed and the third bedroom has a single bed. The bathroom has a power shower over the bath with immediate hot water for whenever you need it. Our ideal day for check out and changeovers is a Friday. We will try to accommodate alternate check out days where we possibly can but this may not always be available. The cottage has lots of books and maps of the surrounding areas to inspire you on your stay. The location of the cottage is incredible, with walks right from your doorstep into the fells. Airaforce is just a stones throw away and there are wainwrights in every direction. Despite this the cottage is so peaceful and a wonderful escape. Even in peak tourist season, it’s rare to see people pass the cottage as the tourists gather at pooley bridge and glenridding which are both just a stones throw away. So you can escape the hustle and bustle but have all the amenities on your doorstep. The royal hotel is just adjacent to the property serving drinks and food every day. At the top of the road is basecamp farm shop and Keswick and Penrith are just a short drive away. Just 15 minutes from the motorway with easy links to the rest of the lakes, this is a great spot to explore from, or to just curl up and forget the world. Guest access You will have access to the full house and extensive gardens that surround the property. Other things to note Please note the staircase is narrow with a bend, please ensure that this will be ok for access for your party. Also please do not climb the dry stone walls as the rocks can become unstable and cause injury.
