In 1939 the Council Chambers got a major overhaul, adding an art deco facade and a grand chamber room, as well as offices for the town clerk and health engineer. This side of the building has been restored as the Chambers 2 suite which houses a seperate bedroom (with its own fireplace), kitchen, dining and lounge area and an additional fireplace .
