Huntsman House has stood in the centre of the rural village of Whitford since the 18th century, together with the church, the post office and the smithy they would have formed the nucleus of the village, originally the pub, then known as Mostyn Arms. Today Huntsman House is 2 semi detached dwellings. The space The property is ideal for general day to day get togethers of family and friends. However it is not suitable for loud or disruptive parties or all night events e.g. stag and hen parties/events and similar due to closely adjoining property/probable neighbour complaint in this quiet village. Huntsman House dates back to the 1700s and balances charming traditional features with modern conveniences. It is ideally located in the quiet, picturesque village of Whitford, just inland from the stunning North Wales coastline and wonderful beaches (keep an eye out for seals 🦭 at Talacre beach), nestled in beautiful 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 countryside and less than 30 minutes from the historic city of Chester, with its cathedral, Roman, Medieval and Tudor history, excellent shopping facilities and proximity to Chester Zoo. Snowdonia National Park is also 45 mins away by car, boasting some of the most impressive scenery in the UK, with stunning mountains, lakes and hiking trails. The 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom property 🏡 sleeps 🛏 10 in 2 doubles (with cots), and 3 twin bedrooms, 4 rooms with en-suite shower rooms. Enjoying an elevated position with outstanding countryside views 🏞️, the 300+ year old property has been restored retaining original features including exposed brickwork. The dining table has 8 chairs but 10 can be accommodated cosily using additional chairs from the next room. There are beautiful views out over local rural countryside and farmland 🐄🐑 🚜🌾 (enjoy these in comfort from the large balcony area) and a wood burning stove can be lit as required. Wireless internet 🛜 access throughout. Please note we make best efforts to make our property a sustainable property. What does this mean? Energy is supplied by an air source heat pump. Additionally as much energy as possible comes from solar (when conditions permit). Wood for the log fire comes from sustainably managed sources. Furniture and fixtures are replaced on a more sustainable basis (I.e. not immediately that they no longer look brand new) they are of course clean, comfortable and functional. We also ask for your help recycling as much as we can. The photos of the property are an accurate representation of the comfort and condition you can expect. We would describe this as comfortable country cottage style. If you feel you are looking for luxury hotel style we respectfully suggest that there may be other properties that are more suitable for your needs. Other things to note We do not always take single night weekend bookings, however for off season unbooked dates close to the booking date we can sometimes relax this where we have no reason for concern. If you wish to book a single weekend night within 14 days time and are unable to, please message us to discuss your requirements and to see what might be possible. If you are new to Airbnb we may ask you some more information about your visit/plans before confirming the booking. The outdoor terrace is suitable to be used until 10pm and we’d be grateful if noise that would be heard beyond the property could cease at midnight to ensure good ongoing relationships locally in this quiet village. Check in and check out times, We often have guests requesting to check in early, and also to check out late, we understand that people like to maximise their experience, however it leaves us very little time to clean and prepare for the next guests, of course we don't wish to rush people and we try to have a degree of flexibility but please be aware that we have have limited preparation time between guests so the absolute latest check out time that can be accommodated is 11am but 10am as stated is expected unless a specific arrangement has been made and the cleaner confirmed available for the later slot.
