Gîte Du Grand Chêne

We would like to welcome to our gite in the heart of rural Limousin. Here you can relax in peace and tranquility or explore the many lakes and walking/cycling routes in the area. You are not too far away from Futuroscope or Lac de Saint-Pardoux, Velorail or Kayaking in Confolens if you fancy getting out and ⁰about. We renovated the gite in late 2022 and hope you will find it comfortable and luxurious. We have tried to keep some original features and blend the old with the new. The space Oak Tree Gite has air conditioning as well as mosquito nets to the windows and a modern electrical fire if you stay with us in the autumn/winter months. We have an eco-friendly wood fired hot tub which is included for stays of 7 nights or more and is exclusively for guests. (For shorter stays, there will be a small additional extra charge.) Here you can chill with a complimentary bottle of bubbles and enjoy looking at the stars which you will be able to see brightly on a clear evening. Inside you will find a comfortable and modern living room, a dining area, and a modern kitchen with a microwave, gas oven, washing machine, dishwasher and nespresso coffee machine. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other bedroom we can adjust the beds to your requirements either a single, two singles or a king size bed. The modern bathroom has a roll-top bath where you can have a relaxing soak after a busy day exploring and also a Grohe shower. Guest access We have table tennis, badminton, darts, and soft archery to keep you entertained if you wish, and have a lovely large garden where you can enjoy a glass of wine or read a book and relax in a sun lounger. Help yourself to fresh herbs from the garden - sage, rosemary and thyme. In the summer there is oregano, basil, coriander and dill. There is a gas bbq/plancher and a private outside eating area. There is also a secure garage if you are looking to bring your bikes and the gite has a little terrace under the veranda for your morning coffee!
