Over the summer months we rent at a 4 night minimum The space The Woodlot cottage is a four-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage tucked away on over 100 acres of forest. This spacious cottage has been designed with families in mind. It boasts a large open-concept kitchen/dining and living room area where the entire family can relax together. The kitchen is expressive with character, its unpolished granite island counter and deep red slatted cabinets create a relaxed atmosphere that flows throughout the cottage. The kitchen has all the amenities needed to prepare a meal for family and friends. The Woodlot’s living room has a large stone fireplace and comfortable seating for up to six people. There is a lovely den just off the living room with copper plated ceiling tiles and seating for five people, a favourite room for anyone looking to curl up with a good book. The living room has French doors that lead to the full length, covered front porch where barbequing and outdoor dining can be enjoyed. The cathedral ceilings, finished with beautifully stained pine, open up to a loft area with a comfy sectional and a TV with a DVD player. Large ceiling fans help keep the cottage cool. The stairs up to the upper level are metal and need to be taken with caution. The main floor has a large master bedroom with a king sized bed, walk-in closet and a gas fireplace. French doors in this room look out to the lake and provide a substantial amount of natural light. Across from the master bedroom is a second bedroom with a queen bed and a wood burning stove. There is also a full four-piece bath on this level with a claw foot tub and tiled shower. The upper floor has two bedrooms that are terrific for kids. The first bedroom has a set of bunk beds, singles on the top and bottom as well as a queen bed. The second bedroom also has a set of bunk beds, singles on the top and bottom, as well as three single beds. Just down the hall is a three-piece bathroom. The surrounding acreage is untouched forest and bush that creates a peaceful, private setting. The front lawn leading to the waterfront is level and great for lawn games. The firepit is near the waterfront and will be a favourite gathering place in the evenings, with lots of seating.
