After living abroad for several years and traveled far and wide around the world, we chose this charming, cozy and beautiful part of our Belpaese to welcome people from every corner of the planet. For us, the stay of each and every one of our guests is sacred. So we will always do our best to make it so! The space Our B&B was built inside a baroque-style period building dating back to the 17th century. Originally built by the Castiglione, a noble and rich aristocratic family of judges, chancellors, parliamentarians and writers from Genoa, who moved to Gallipoli towards the end of the 16th century due to political vicissitudes. The building is located in the historic center, in the limited traffic zone, where access by car is allowed only to residents, a stone's throw from the Cathedral of Sant'Agata. Immersed in the vibrant heart of culture, history, art and religious and civil architecture, as well as Gallipoli's food and wine. A careful and skilful restoration, with attention to the smallest details, has brought the building back to its former glory, enhancing its typical features: capitals and friezes in carparo and its barrel and star vaults, architectural elements typical of Salento residences. Staying here means experiencing the nobility of living in that Renaissance and Baroque Salento that is now almost lost and forgotten. Guest access The property offers access to a terrace and a breakfast room, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests. Other things to note Breakfast is included in the nightly rate of the room and will be served from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Each guest must pay the tourist tax of €1 per night at check-in. Check-in time is between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Please let us know at least 2 hours in advance of your expected arrival time. If your arrival is scheduled in the morning, before 12:00 p.m., you can safely leave your luggage at our facility. Rooms will be delivered from 3 pm. We inform you that the historic center of Gallipoli is a restricted traffic zone, so access is allowed only to residents. We kindly ask you to respect the check-out time, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., in order to have the necessary time to prepare the room to be delivered to the guests who will occupy it. Bed linen will be changed every 3 days and bath linen every 2 days. The room must be left free for daily cleaning from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. Smoking is prohibited inside the rooms and access to outsiders inside the property. Only guests registered at check-in are allowed to enter. The port parking has an hourly rate for the summer period from June 1 to September 30 of 1.5 euros per hour exclusively for ten hours a day in the range between 3 p.m. and 1 a.m. the next day, for the remaining hours it is free.
