Description
Come stay with us on our historic working farm! Relax on the back deck and enjoy views of our 12-acre property and peaceful pastures. For a more hands-on experience, join us for a tour to get a closer look at life on the farm. Established in 1739, our farm has a rich history in agriculture and livestock. The cozy studio-style cottage features an open living space with combined bedroom, living, and dining area, along with a kitchenette and bathroom with a shower for your comfort and convenience. The space The guesthouse is located at Two Herons Farm. A small family farm where we raise animals and grow both food and flowers. Our family home was built in 1739 and is situated near the street entrance. As you enter the property, you will see two cottages, the oldest corn crib in the county, and a beautifully restored 1800s barn. Guest access Guests are welcome to stroll around the property and enjoy all it has to offer. We ask that guests do not enter the barn or pasture without one of the owners of the farm. Our animals are accustomed to people, but livestock is unpredictable, especially to people that they do not know. Pets are welcome but should be on a leash while walking around the farm. Other things to note While tucked away, the location is also very convenient. We are close to Rt 66 & Rt 16. Less than 10 minutes from Middletown or Glastonbury. A 10-minute drive to Wesleyan University. There’s a grocery store just a 3 min drive away and many seasonal farm stands. There are excellent local restaurants in both Portland and Middletown. Close to Power Ridge Ski Resort. Minutes from Brownstone Water Park. Dunkin’ and Dairy Queen are just down the road.
