You are close enough to the Village for when you want to be in the hustle and bustle, with the advantage of retreating home to the beauty and peacefulness of the Nicklaus North Golf Course and Green Lake. We walk to the Village everyday - it's a gorgeous 35-minute stroll on the Village Trail adjacent to Fitzsimmons Creek. In the winter season, you can't beat this location. We are a quick 3-minute drive to the base of Blackcomb and Whistler Mountain for downhill skiing and snow-boarding. For cross-country skiing and snow-shoeing, you can walk right out the back door and be on your way as the trails are right across the fairway. You can cross-country ski around the Nicklaus North Golf Course and then around Lost Lake as well. It's so convenient to just walk out the door and start cross-country skiing or snow-shoeing. We love hiking up the mountain on our snow-shoes along the Sea-to-Sky trail. The views down onto Green Lake are incredible. In the spring, summer and fall, you are a 2-minute walk to the first tee of Nicklaus North where the golfing is truly world class. We are also a 3-minute walk to the Whistler Airport where you can fly in via float plane onto Green Lake from the Vancouver or Victoria area. On Green Lake, you can boat, water-ski, paddle-board, wake-board and swim - all within a 5-minute drive from the Northwood Chalet. If biking or hiking are more your style, we are located right where you want to be with immediate access to biking and hiking trails - they are right out the front and back door. Green Lake is glacier-fed which means it is a gorgeous turquoise blue colour in the summer. You don't see water that color very often! In any season, you have the benefit of a 2-minute walk to Table Nineteen Restaurant- the fabulous Clubhouse Restaurant overlooking Nicklaus North Golf course. This is a popular location for weddings and other special celebrations due to the incredible views, food, service and location. Having a drink on the patio of the Nicklaus North Clubhouse is rated one of the best overall experiences in Whistler! The food is pretty good (8/10), but the views are a 10/10 particularly in the summer months. Few houses at Whistler are legally zoned for nightly rentals. The Northwood Chalet Whistler is legally zoned for short-term nightly rentals by the City of Whistler; that's comforting to our guests. 16% Tax is payable on all reservations less than one month in duration.
