Bright 2 Bedroom, 1 bath house with ocean & mountain views. Located on a hilltop, this comfortable and airy house is short distance from Winnifred Beach, minutes from the acclaimed Boston Bay & famous Blue Lagoon. Best for adults looking to disconnect, relax and enjoy! The space The house is perfect for 1-2 couples or a family of 3-4. It is a lush, quiet location, perfect for walkers, hikers and those looking to disconnect from technology and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Bedrooms and the living room have ceiling fans. The beds have mosquito netting. The windows do not have screens. Free WIFI is not provided. Guests can easily purchase SIM cards along with prepaid WiFi/data cards in Port Antonio. Guest access Guest have access to the whole house and grounds. Other things to note GENERAL RULES -This is our family vacation house, so please leave it in the condition you found it. -Absolutely NO smoking inside the house. -Only registered guests are allowed in the house. No parties allowed. -One set of linens and towels will be provided for the duration of your stay. -Please leave the house towels and linens in the house. -Guests will need to bring their own beach towels WIFI & CELLULAR SERVICE -The house is equipped with a WiFi router, BUT WiFi is not provided. Guests wishing to access WiFi using the home’s router need to purchase a prepaid WiFi/Data card to access the internet. Please note that the WiFi service is not always reliable in this part of the island. WE DO NOT PROVIDE OR GUARANTEE THE WIFI SERVICE. The best option is to purchase a SIM card and prepaid WiFi/Data cards for your smart phone (it’s what we do). PEST CONTROL -to maintain the homes airy feel the windows do not have screens and it is a tropical island, so insects are a part of daily life all year around. There are more bugs and mosquitoes during the warmer months (~June-August) and usually less so during the colder months (December-March). Unfortunately, we can not control nature and so can not predict which years may be filled with more or less insects. Guest can simply use the house broom provided to sweep away any bugs as needed, but it usually is not an issue. SECURITY & MAINTENANCE -Periodically, the property manager may come by to check on the house. He checks that the water tanks are at a sufficient level and that the water pump is functioning properly as it can easily be damaged. HOUSEKEEPING -The house is cleaned before and after your stay. Other than appropriately used linens and towels, GUEST ARE REQUIRED TO LEAVE THE HOME THE WAY THEY FOUND IT. AN ADDITIONAL CLEANING FEE MAY BE APPLIED FOR STAINS ON THE FURNITURE/LINENS/TOWELS, DIRTY DISHES, ETC. -It is up to the guest to keep the home clean during their stay (ie. Wash your dishes, clean up spills using properly assigned cleaning supplies, sweep the floor as needed during your stay). WATER USAGE AND FEES -Guests are provided with full tanks of water at the start of their stay (1 tank should supply 2 adults 1 month of water). The water provided should be sufficient for the length of stay provided guests conserve water. No more than 10 minutes in the shower and do not let the water run when brushing your teeth or washing dishes. THERE MAY BE AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR GUESTS THAT DO NOT CONSERVE WATER. -Guests are required to follow instructions with regards to the turning the water pump on or off. AIR-CONDITIONING -We DO NOT have air-conditioners -We provide ceiling fans in most rooms, and floor fans may be provided upon request. TOILETRIES -Guests need to bring their own personal toiletries and beach towels. -Guests are provided with a minimum of 2 rolls of toilet tissue for the first 3-4 days, with an additional roll added for every additional 2-3 days. Guest can purchase more rolls of toilet tissue in many of the local stores or kiosks. MISCELLANEOUS -The housekeeper can be contracted to cook meals. -Money can be exchanged at the airport and at Port Antonio.
