Harry's Belles at The Old Airfield; overlooked by nothing more than a smart copse of beech and oaks, the only distractions come from the forest’s wild inhabitants, the New Forest ponies and their foals will be watching from the surrounding heathland, as you relish the great outdoors. This is a romantic place to stay that offers a history all its own. As the name suggests, in the 1940s The Old Airfield was an RAF airstrip, perfectly situated for reconnaissance missions over continental Europe. The space Very spacious and airy bell tents that sleep up to 5 (+ a cot) Furnished with rugs and matting. The beds are strong metal (not camp) beds that are put together to make a double or can be split. The mattresses are thick memory foam with a thick cover. We have bed side tables and battery lights, chairs and low tables, and a picnic bench outside. Bunting and fairy lights of course! They are part of Harrys Old Airfield campsite so you'll be sharing the showers (hot and spacious) and the loos, compost and porta-loos. You'll need to bring your own bedding and towels. We have food trucks, barista coffee and a horse box bar so you won't need to cook if you don't want to. You can hire fire pits and buy wood, and BBQ of course. Guest access You'll have access to the whole of the lovely New Forest campsite which is very spacious especially during the week. Other things to note Remember you'll need to bring all your own bedding, but we provide really comfortable beds and the rest of the furniture.
