Quail Cottage

Quail Cottage is a little cottage that has recently been built. It sits in the garden of the main house. A rural feel, close to the village of historic Yungaburra. Relax in natures sanctuary amongst the birds. Yet close enough to walk to town for a good coffee, pint of beer or a bite to eat . The space Very light and airy with large sliding doors onto the deck from the bedroom and 2 sliding doors from the living area. Your own deck to sit and watch the birds or you may prefer to sit inside with just as good a view of the forest grove. The cottage is in the back garden of the main house. It is an easy stroll of 700 meters to the village centre. * There is no TV on purpose to maintain a tranquil, peaceful environment. Being on top of a hill we have a temperate climate with plenty of breezes most of the time. It is much cooler than Cairns hence we have no air conditioning. * Please note there are no fly screens on the windows. Washing machine is available to use on request in the garage. We do have a small Shitzu dog that may visit from time time, she is friendly but do shoo her away if dogs are not your thing. Guest access Guests walk down the right side of the main house to your own deck and entry to the cottage. Guests are welcome to use the rest of the garden, bearing in mind as it is new the grass has just been seeded. The little forest area in front of the cottage is established, cool and shady. Other things to note The cottage is ideal for a single or couples get away. For those that savour peace and quiet (there is no TV) in the country yet close to amenities. A good place to work from with a small table suitable for a laptop. It’s not suitable for children or families.
