Our main goal is to provide an adults-only, tranquil & unique Caribbean-Mexican experience. Guests can stay in one of our six private villas to get away from the hustle-bustle of downtown & everyday life, & to relax & savor the lovely island. The peaceful ambience features a heated salt-water pool with waterfalls, beach chairs & umbrellas, tropical gardens & an exquisite palapa. Isla Retreats is located five minutes from downtown and Playa Norte. A tropical oasis awaits you! There are 6 private villas at Isla Retreats that sleep 2 people each. All are upscale, tastefully decorated, and fully furnished with everything you will need for your stay. All villas have flat-screen TVs, cable TV, iPod docking stations and high speed WiFi Internet. We provide beach towels and bath towels, high quality linens, a hair dryer, and iron/ironing board for your use. There is an in-room safe to store your valuables and passports. Maid service (daily or as requested) is available at no extra charge. There is on-site staff available to accommodate our guests in setting up golf cart rentals and other activities. Villas #3 and #4 are located on the ground floor. There are two bedrooms, each with private bathrooms, a living room, dining area and a full kitchen. The kitchen includes a full size refrigerator, microwave, 4-burner cooktop and oven, blender, coffeepot, toaster - everything you need to make this your home away from home experience. There is air conditioning in each room, king-size beds, all modern stainless steel appliances, marble counter tops and marble floors, and cable TV. Our saltwater pool is only for guests staying at Isla Retreats. To keep the grounds quiet, safe and private, we do not allow use of the pool by people who are not staying at Isla Retreats. You can enjoy the sounds of the waterfall while sitting by the pool or under the palapa. The palapa and pool area are perfect for coffee and fresh orange juice in the morning, and cocktails in the evenings - or anytime! We also have 5 other properties at Isla Retreats available to rent: Villa #1 is a one bedroom unit on the ground floor with a king size bed, one bathroom, a living room, dining area and a full kitchen. The kitchen includes a full size refrigerator, microwave, 4-burner cooktop and oven, blender, coffeepot, toaster - everything you need to make this your home away from home experience. There is air conditioning in each room, all modern stainless steel appliances, marble counter tops and marble floors, and cable TV. The rate per night for 2 people is $185 USD plus tax. Villa #2 is a one bedroom unit with a king size bed and a full bathroom. There is a small refrigerator, microwave and coffeepot. Villa #5 is located on the second floor, at the back of the complex, overlooking Salina Chica. There is a king size bed, a kitchen, that includes a refrigerator, 2-burner cooktop, oven, microwave, coffeepot and toaster. Enjoy beautiful sunsets and bird watching on the balcony looking over Salina Chica. Villa #5 also has a private roof top patio with a panoramic view of the island. Villa #6 is also located on the second floor. This villa has a king size bed and a full kitchen that includes a full size refrigerator, 4-burner cooktop and oven, microwave, blender, coffeepot and toaster. Villa #6 has a view of the grounds and pool and has two private patios on either side of the villa. Casa de Katy is located adjacent to Isla Retreats and has full access to the pool and other amenities included there. Enjoy the luscious tropical gardens in the front of the house, as well as the private patio in the backyard. This is one of the only smaller homes on the island that has a full front and back yard - lovely spaces for enjoying the outdoors. We have worked hard to emphasize the green-space at Casa de Katy - you will find many coconut trees, tropical plants and flowers throughout, making this property unique on the island. There is a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, Mini-Split Air Conditioning, Cable TV, living room and dining area. Isla Retreats is located five minutes from downtown and Playa Norte, at the beginning of the safe and charming neighborhood, Salina Chica, just past the airport and the college, Bachilleres. Within walking distance, you will find a tennis and basketball court, many local stores, grocery stores and places to buy fresh juice, fruits and vegetables. It is easy to catch a taxi in front of the property to go downtown or to the beach. Parking is available for golf carts as well. Isla Retreats is private, yet close to downtown where you will find many shops, restaurants, bars and live music. If you want to stay in the neighborhood and not go to town, Isla Retreats is located within walking distance to many popular restaurants: Rosa Sirena's, Da Luisa, Mango Cafe, Caribbean Brisas, Kash Keken Chuc and Green Verde, to name a few. We are located three blocks from the main grocery store on the island, Chedruai, which includes a number of imported food items, a bakery, a nice selection of wines and liquors. It is easy to catch a taxi in front of the property to go downtown or to the beach. Parking is available for golf carts as well. **The payment for hospitality tax (19%) will be due in US dollars cash upon arrival.
