Description

This lovely cabin sits on two wooded, secluded beach-front acres in Naikun Park. The warm and cozy 600 sq ft modern off-grid home is made for days on the beach and quiet reflection. After swimming in the sea rinse yourself in the hot outside shower and then sweat in the wood fired sauna before checking your email or settling down to read by the wood burning stove. The space The cabin is built with locally sourced red and yellow cedar, has two covered decks- one with a picnic table and bbq, a well-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms with firm mattresses, wood-burning stove, wood-fired sauna, private hot outside shower and clean, composting outhouse. Guest access Guests will have exclusive access to the property including the cabin, sauna, outside shower, outhouse and woodshed. They will not have access to the utility shed behind the woodshed or storage shed at the front of the property. There is no washer and dryer available to guests. Other things to note Please note the Haida Nation requests visitors to consider their responsibilities to the land before arriving on Haida Gwaii. For further details please search for the Haida Gwaii pledge online. We provide a private outside shower with hot water on demand, a private, clean, composting outhouse and wood fired sauna for your washing and toiletry needs. The cabin has fast internet with an unlimited data plan. The cell signal is unreliable at the cabin so we recommend that you use the internet for WIFI calling if you want to make phone calls. The cell signal is good on the beach. We do not provide flashlights. It is recommended to bring your own. The best waves for experienced surfers are October to March with September and April being less consistent shoulder seasons. The waves from May to August are inconsistent and very small. The beach is remote with no lifeguards. Members of the local community drive on the beach to harvest seafood and salvage wood. The cabin is in a tsunami zone.
