A comfortable double room in a self catering house share in the Tuebrook/Old Swan area. Double Bay fronted Victorian terrace - traditional Liverpool style house. It's just 20 mins to town on bus 12/13/15/18 and approx £7/£8 in an Uber. There is WIFI for your studies, shared kitchen and bathroom. You have basic cooking facilities, oven, kettle, toaster. ***Strictly no smokers, no smoking inside or outside*** (Smokers refused check in, no refunds - host asthmatic) The space Your room has a shelf, desk, two small drawers and a clothes rail. You also have a double bed and bedside table with lamp. The kitchen and bathroom are shared spaces and we ask that you be mindful of other guests and keep all personal items in your private room. In the kitchen you will have a cupboard labelled with your room number. You are welcome to put food in the fridge but you must label it with your name, room number and the date that you check out. There is a communal lounge area with SMART TV in room 1 where you can make yourself comfortable. Please use your own accounts and licenses and remember to log out when you leave. Guest access Feel free to use the WIFI and shared kitchen/bathroom (shared between 3-5 people) It's a basic kitchen so fine for making toast, sandwiches or putting a pizza in the oven, but it's not the place for cooking a full curry from scratch ! You need to be OK with one flight of steep stairs. Please remember that it is a house share and not serviced accommodation so please buy what you need to use e.g. bin bags, washing up liquid, toiletries and anything else that you might use. Iceland on the main road is very cheap and good value. Unfortunately there is no parking available at this property. It is unsuitable for guests with cars and there is no on street parking allowed in the area (other than those with resident permits). Although it is not allowed to park on Silverdale Avenue, the bus stop is walkable from the house. Other things to note Initial check in is with host or co host. There are keypad locks on bedrooms and there are security cameras on the front and back door for security and safety. The listing is for one single person only, but it is possible to add a second person to your booking on request and for a small extra fee. Heating is on from 7am-10am and again from 5pm-10pm and at these times will heat the house to between 18-20 degrees from October to March only. There is no heating from April to September. During winter months control your radiator with the dial on the side valve. If you are particularly cold, please tell your hosts and we can provide extra blankets. Your cleaning fee provides you with cleaning for your check in and another clean for your check out plus one set of linen and one towel. If you require additional cleaning or linen during your stay this can be provided at an extra charge. This is a quiet residential area and therefore we have a strict policy of no parties/events allowed on the premises. No visitors, additional guests or third party bookings. Please keep noise levels down after 10pm. If you see the neighbours you can let them know you are staying with Amy.
