EXCEPTIONAL ATMOSPHERE - THE MOUNTAIN IN CHAMPAGNE Nestled in the heights of the small village of Cormoyeux is, in the heart of the Champenois vineyards, a peaceful chalet overlooking the Brunet Valley, in the Marne Valley. Chalet Cormoyeux is an invitation to contemplation, well-being and adventure – as close as possible to the Champagne region and its nature. It is ideal for families, lovers or friends looking for high-end services, surprises, and a change of scenery. The space CHALET CORMOYEUX – A SURPRISING RETREAT Chalet Cormoyeux has high-end amenities designed to surprise its guests. The spacious terrace with a quiet Jacuzzi is ideal for relaxing, enjoying the sun and toasting with Champagne. Inside, the warm atmosphere similar to those of mountain chalets is felt thanks to the natural materials chosen. The living room is very bright thanks to its large bay windows that open directly onto the terrace. In summer, opening them extends the space to enjoy the outdoors even more by admiring the vineyards and the valley as far as the eye can see. Chalet Cormoyeux offers a kitchen equipped with a wine cellar, induction cooktop with built-in range hood, traditional oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, kettle and Smeg coffee grinder, with coffee available. It opens onto the dining room and living room where a wood stove warms the room, the atmosphere and the hearts. The first bedroom is a suite designed around the forest theme, consisting of a queen size double bed and a bathroom. The second bedroom is located upstairs, offering two single beds (80 cm x 200 cm that can be brought together as desired by guests), a bathroom and access to a unique relaxation area - a hammock suspended just above the living room, dedicated to contemplating the landscape. The Chalet Cormoyeux will surprise you, even down to its toilets where the interior and exterior blend. Being concerned about the environment, it seemed important to us to build the cottage in a sustainable way and to provide equipment to take a step for the planet. We have a green roof and provide a "Tesla" terminal that can charge all brands of electric cars. We will ask our guests to be sensitive to our efforts and to be mindful of their water and electricity use. Guest access ACCESSIBILITY Cormoyeux is a typical Champenois village populated by 121 inhabitants, mostly Champagne producers. It is very easy to access and is located halfway between the two main cities of Champagne (10 km from Épernay "Capital of Champagne" and 23 km from Reims) where the nearest train stations are located. Hautvillers, the birthplace of Champagne is just a 3-minute drive away and the first shops are 6 km away. Many starred and upscale restaurants are within a 30 km radius, such as L'Assiette Champenoise (23 km), Le Royal Champagne (8 km), Le Grand Cerf (14 km), or Le Racine (23 km). On foot, by bike or by car, this region offers dazzling landscapes in all seasons, making journeys of exciting excursions mixing discoveries and wonders. Year-round, events not to be missed (some examples): - End of March: the Épernay Champagne Wine Rally which passes under the windows of the Chalet offers an impressive spectacle in the hairpin bends at the entrance to the village. - Early September: the grape harvest, hand-picked. - Early December: the light displays on Avenue de Champagne in Épernay. The discovery of the vineyard and Champagne has no specific season or date, we can organize visits to the vineyards, cellars, tastings at Champagne Boude Baudin, and much more… Other things to note HISTORY - WHERE IT ALL BEGAN It was in the 1980s that a young girl from a Cormoyeux winegrower liked to have fun with her friends around the small cottage nestled in the greenery and heights of her village. Since then, she has always dreamed of living and building her little slice of heaven in this very place, admiring the view that the place offered. Her wish has always remained in the back of her mind even though life has led her to other horizons. Several years later, she decided to return to live in her village to rediscover her roots, work in her vineyards, and set up her project. - Her wish finally came true, she now wants to share it.
