This is a private rental accommodation on Ogijima, an island in the Seto Inland Sea. The owner, who was born and raised on the island, will prepare dinner for you with seafood from the Seto Inland Sea and ingredients from the island that were purchased that day. With the theme of "connecting the memories of the island and allowing you to stay on the island as if you lived there", we have made a two-story building with a large courtyard into a private rental accommodation.The outer wall has also been used as an artwork for the Setouchi International Art Festival and is a photo spot. Ogijima is a very nice island in the Seto Inland Sea. We hope you enjoy this retreat with a hoe and a book, where you can experience the simple charm of everyday life. The space 40 minutes by ferry from Takamatsu Port. On a small island with a population of about 120 people, there is only one accommodation for one group per day. The menu changes daily, and you can enjoy meals that can only be enjoyed here, such as dishes made with Ogi miso, a traditional island recipe. ・ Dinner A: A multi-course meal using seafood from the Seto Inland Sea and meat from the prefecture (8,800 yen per person, tax included) ・ Dinner B: A set meal centered around seafood from the Seto Inland Sea (5,500 yen per person, tax included) ・ Breakfast: Gluten-free breakfast (1,980 yen per person, tax included, with drinks) * Please book by message at least 5 days before your stay (for groups, everyone will have the same menu) ※Meal fees are paid on-site * Please let us know in advance if you have any allergies. We will do our best to accommodate you. ※ There are no restaurants or convenience stores open at night on the island. If you are preparing your own meals, it would be reassuring if you could let us know in advance. [About the house] You can rent the entire two-story traditional house with a large courtyard. You can leisurely watch the sunset over the Seto Inland Sea from the west-facing veranda of the room. The exterior wall is also a work of art from the Setouchi International Art Festival and is a great spot for taking photos. You can also enjoy a barbecue and more in the courtyard with a wooden deck. Facilities You don't have to bring anything. Bath towels, face towels, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hair dryer, and pajamas (for a fee of 880 yen) are provided. There is also a kitchen, fridge, washing machine (detergent fee: 110 yen), rice cooker, and minibar (drinks fee). Bamboo combs (220 yen) are also available. Please message us if you need anything. Bedding There are two single beds in bedroom 1, a double bed in bedroom 2, two single beds in bedroom 3 on the second floor, and a sofa bed in the living room. We will provide futons if there are 7 or more guests. About Ogijima It is a remote island without a convenience store. The last ferry to Takamatsu leaves at 5 pm, so you can enjoy a relaxing island time. Guest access You are welcome to use anything except the staff room and kitchen. Other things to note Ogijima is 40 minutes by ferry from Takamatsu Port. It is a very easy island to get around on among the outlying islands. Still, there is no convenience store, and the last bus to Takamatsu is at 5 pm. I think its small size will make our time here special. Dinner and breakfast require pre-booking.
