Take it easy at this unique and tranquil family home in a high end neighborhood. There is outdoor dining and grilling, an outdoor fireplace and a pool and jacuzzi. There are two koi ponds, a tennis court and a rose garden. The space There are over 400 palm trees and cycads on the estate as well as 50 rose bushes, fruit trees and other luxurious amenities. There is a stream and 2 koi ponds and it has a quiet serene feel to it. Even though the little stream is going 24/7, if you close the windows, you can't hear it at all. This is a very quiet neighborhood perfect for someone who wants to relax. Guest access Feel free to sample fruit from the fruit trees or wander the rose garden or play some tennis. Please follow signs on the property and don’t go in the conservatory. There are some really prickly things in there. Guests do not have access to the cottage, garage and 3 closets in the house Other things to note For liability purposes, when you make your reservation, please include all guests who will come on to the property, even if they are only there during the day and do not plan to stay over night. The Residence and the patio outside the family room are private spaces for this reservation. All other outdoor amenities including the pool, jacuzzi, tennis court etc. are shared spaces. They are shared with me and my family and/or other guests that are staying in my RV or in a cottage on the back of the property. The pool is not heated. The water temperature is good for swimming from sometime in April through mid October. The water temperature in April and May, as well as October can be cooler. You are free to swim in the pool other times of the year as well, but the water will be cold. The Jacuzzi can be heated up year round. The price of natural gas tripled here earlier this year so if you do heat up the Jacuzzi, we ask that you heat it up right before you use it and turn it off right after you get out. Also, I have the control panel for the Jacuzzi and pool set up so that you cannot heat up the pool.. However, if you know what you’re doing, you can change the settings so that you can turn the heater in the pool on. Having said that, we do not allow it because the cost is prohibitive. If you change the settings and turn on the pool heater, a penalty fee of $1000 and $200 per day to pay for the gas will be charged to your account. Poway is the city in the country. It is just far enough away from the ocean that there is no salty smell in the air but close enough to everything to still enjoy it. There are horse trails all throughout Poway, so don't be surprised if you see a horse crossing the street in front of you. It really is a city, with a bit of country still in the air. Our mayor even wears a cowboy hat 24/7. Never seen him without it. Poway is - 24 minutes to the beach - 29 minutes to downtown San Diego - 36 minutes to Sea World - 38 minutes to Legoland - 26 minutes to Balboa Park - 24 minutes to San Diego Zoo Safari Park - 32 minutes to the Convention Center (Comicon) I am on the property daily doing upkeep, maintenance and working in the garden.
