This large, family friendly house is a few minutes walk from the village centre of Brockenhurst. Having recently been renovated to a high standard, there's a fantastic large open plan extension opening out on to a tiled outdoor living area. This house is perfectly situated, being only a 10 minute walk from the train station, yet only a minute from the open forest, with it's freely roaming New Forest Ponies, cattle, donkeys and depending on the time of year, pigs. Nearest quality pub 5 min walk The space The house is the perfect location for a family get together. With it's period features and charm, it's an ideal place to catch up after a wintery walk in the forest, warming up in front of one of the two log burners. Or in the summer why not open the large bifold doors connecting the newly created large open plan kitchen/dining area with an equally large outdoor living space, complete with outdoor furniture, hammock and new 4 burner Weber BBQ. The kitchen has a large induction hob, 2 ovens, nespresso coffee machine and large samsung frame TV. There is a large dining table seating up to 10 people. In the utility room there is a back entrance for muddy walks, washing machine and tumble drier. The bedrooms are all of good size, with adequate personal space to put your belongings. The sleeping arrangements are as follows: Bedroom 1: king sized bed with large en suite (shower and separate bath). Bedroom 2: double bed with ensuite, shower over bath Bedroom 3: double bed. Space to add blow up bed/single mattress if required. Bedroom 4: cabin bed with step ladder. An additional child's inflatable bed can be placed in any room if requested at booking, as well as a travel cot for infants. There's also a further family bathroom with large walk in shower. Downstairs in addition to the large open plan living/dining/kitchen room there is one further sitting room, home office and conservatory/play room with treadmill in. Outside there is the private, walled patio area with comfy outdoor seating, sunken decking area, hammock and BBQ. There is a large 6 person hot tub included in the price for week long stays or available on request for a fee for shorter breaks. There is also a heated outdoor shower. The front garden has a good sized lawn, large trampoline, netball hoop and mud kitchen. The house is our main residence, however most personal belongings will be packed away and each bedroom has dedicated guest wardrobe space. Included in the house are plenty of kids toys, fancy dress, Nintendo Wii and board games. Things to do nearby The village itself is arguably the most beautiful in the new forest, with ponies, cattle and donkeys roaming free around the village all year round. There are some stunning walks in every direction right from the front door. Brockenhurst station is 10 minute walk with direct trains to Waterloo, Southampton and Bournemouth. The house is walking distance to 3 pubs, a wine bar, 2 Italian restaurants, an Indian restaurant, Chinese takeaway and fish and chip shop. The Pig in the Forest is also only 1 mile away and definitely worth booking for a treat. Guest access Full house Other things to note This is our family home so kitchen cupboards will remain filled with our belongings but guests can use oil, condiments, spices etc. The bedrooms will have our clothes in but there will be space for guests to hang belongings.
