Welcome to the Barefoot Beach House! Experience the beauty of the Ottawa River and discover all that the historic town of Fort-Coulonge has to offer. Ideally located in the heart of the Whitewater Region, our property is surrounded by sandy beaches and endless waterways. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional, personalized service to make your stay seamless and stress-free. We’ve thought of everything – just come, unwind and enjoy! We care about the little things—and the planet too. Please note that we use eco-friendly products throughout the Barefoot Beach House. Most of our cleaning supplies are from Attitude, a Canadian brand known for its environmentally conscious ingredients. We also limit single-use plastics wherever possible—our cutting boards are made of glass, and we provide reusable glass straws for your drinks. It's all part of creating a stay that's thoughtful, safe, and sustainable. Our beach house is available year-round, with plenty of activities to enjoy regardless of the season. Here’s some examples of what you can find in close proximity (a more comprehensive list of activities and surrounding area, will be provided to guests upon booking): •Cyclopark PPJ (200 meters): An impressive 92kms of secure paths for walking, running, biking and snowmobiling. •Municipal Boat Launch (250 meters): The river is perfect for fishing and watersports enthusiasts. •Esprit Whitewater (3km): Offers a wide range of thrilling adventures including water rafting in rivers and rapids, e-bike rentals and an inflatable water park. •Les Chutes Coulonge (10km): Offers a range of exciting seasonal events and activities, including zip-lines, obstacle courses, and scenic hiking trails. •You'll also find a variety of restaurants and amenities, including Metro, SAQ (liquor store), bank, clinic and pharmacy. The Barefoot Beach House comfortably accommodates 4 adults and 2 kids, with sleeping arrangements consisting of: - Bedroom 1: One queen bed - Bedroom 2: One double bed - Bedroom 3: One twin-size bunk bed *** Please note that the bunk bed is NOT made to support adults and is designated for children less than 100lbs. Travelling with kids? We’ve got you covered! One of our kitchen drawers is fully stocked with kid-friendly essentials—plates, utensils, sippy cups, and tumblers with lids and straws, all just for them. The Bedroom #3 is designed with little ones in mind and features a cozy reading corner and a box of assorted toys. We also offer sand toys, life jackets, floaties, and more. Guest access Guests have full private access to the house, decks, and yard area, with easy, direct access to the beach just steps away. A private driveway with two parking spots is also available for your convenience. Other things to note 1. Crisp white fresh linen and bath towels are provided; however, we kindly request that you bring your own beach towels. 2. Amenities are provided to the best of our ability but may be subject to change on short notice due to maintenance or availability. 3. We have a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for smoking, parties, sub-leasing and unregistered guests. Any violation of this policy will result in an eviction or supplementary charge(s). Available upon request.
