Situated just yards from Inveraray Pier, this beautiful detached cottage is perfect for couples or small families looking for a self catering break to explore the popular conservation town of Inveraray. Tucked in the heart of the village, Quay Cottage enjoys an enviable quiet position. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 super-kingsize - or a twin on request), and a bathroom with roll-top bath, whilst the spacious, sociable open plan living room/kitchen occupies the whole ground floor The space Situated just yards from Inveraray Pier, this beautiful detached cottage is perfect for couples looking for a self catering break to explore the popular conservation town of Inveraray.  Tucked in the historical 'Ferry Land' area of the village, Smugglers' Cottage was the original Quay office and enjoys an enviable quiet position whilst still being in the heart of Inveraray.  The cottage is thought to be one of the oldest buildings in the town, and its character shines through, with thick solid walls, deep window sills and sash windows. The living space is open plan - ideal for socialising whilst you cook.  There is a big dining table, suitable for family meals, playing board games/jigsaws, or for planning tomorrow's adventures!  The kitchen is well-equipped, with a dishwasher; cooker/hob; microwave; fridge; and a good selection of utensils and crockery. The velvet sofas are perfect for sinking into after a day exploring the area, and there is a smart TV for evenings in/rainy days.  WiFi is also provided to help you to stay in touch (if you want to!). Upstairs, both bedrooms are fitted with white furniture. The second bedroom can be made up as a twin on request (please ask when booking - it’s normally made up as a superking).  It also has a large chest of drawers and wardrobe, so plenty of space to store your belongings for longer stays.  The double bedroom has a chest of drawers, and a hanging rail in the cupboard just outside the door. The bathroom is fully tiled, and features a roll-top, claw-foot bath - perfect for a long soak after a day out. There is a separate shower cubicle, along with storage for your bits and bobs. The cottage is located right in the town centre - but not beside the main road, so you can make the most of the peace and quiet! Noise will travel from The George's Garden Bar during their renowned live music events - allowing you to enjoy them from the comfort of the sofa, or nip round the corner and join in! Guest access The property is accessed via its own front door, and the entire space is for guests use (no shared areas). Bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs, and living space/kitchen are downstairs. Laundry facilities are available at the caravan park, which is around 2 miles south of Inveraray. The cottage is in the heart of Inveraray - tucked in behind the Main Street so there is no road noise and it is generally peaceful. If The George Hotel has any of its fantastic live music events on, you will likely hear them.
