The house is at 3300 feet elevation, with cool nights, and occasional snow in winter. The local store--Chevron Gas, Grocery and True Value--is a 3 minute drive away, and a delicious breakfast & lunch restaurant--The Copperpot Cafe--is a 4 minute drive. Horseback riding is available at Dreamor Ranch, 6 minutes away, and a full variety of year-round outdoor activities are available, in Yosemite, and other nearby public lands. Historic Coulterville (with the charming Coulter Cafe) is 15 minutes by car, and Groveland (with a grocery store and many restaurants) is 25 minutes. Car is the only practical way to get around this rural area. Many roads are winding, and beautiful. Parking is plentiful everywhere...except for in Yosemite Valley on summer weekends.
