Quinta Mourada is a 4-suite eco-friendly bed & breakfast located just 5 minutes outside of the historic and charming town of Lourinhã, less than 1 hour north of Lisbon. Here you can tap into that zen feeling, connect with nature and serve it as a base to explore the many attractions in the Silver Coast. We offer a cozy suite and breakfast made with fresh/local/homemade goodies, which you can chose to enjoy in the kitchen, by the pool, or the grill house. The space You'll be staying at one of four cozy suites at Quinta Mourada, each featuring French doors that open to a small terrace, face the pool, are minimally decorated with traditional and vintage Portuguese accessories and equipped with an AC/heater unit, wi-fi, custom-made bed with local pine, new 25 cm foam mattress, cotton bedding and towels, all made in Portugal, a hair dryer, natural soaps and candles. The Quinta features many spaces of entertainment with panoramic views of the countryside. Its total area is 15,200 square meters (3.75 acres) of which 4,360 square meters (over an acre) includes a creek and dense forest. It was recently acquired and updated to provide a comfortable and reinvigorating experience to our guests. All of the furniture and decor in the room and house are handcrafted, as is the chicken coop and run made from recycled wood. Its grounds are ideal for relaxing while listening to the birds and church bells and relishing the expansive view of the vineyard with its 650 fruit-bearing vines, 13 pear trees, a newly planted orchard with over 20 trees, the organic vegetable garden, and the forest across the creek. The quinta also features on-site parking with direct access to the rooms. Guest access Guests can enjoy the following communal areas: living room with TV, fully equipped kitchen, with a separate refrigerator for guests and a wood fired oven, a swimming pool and grillhouse with fully equipped kitchen, an outdoor wood fire oven and BBQ area, an outdoor seating area, a Finnish sauna, outdoor showers, dining room in the old cellar with large table and 9 meters (over 30 feet) high ceiling, dining room in the wine cellar in the basement, and laundry facilities. Other things to note Located in the small village of Toxofal do Cima, the Quinta has several nature walks and trails right outside its gates and within short drives, easy access to all the amenities of the nearby city of Lourinhã (5 mins), a land of Jurassic footprints and valuable historical heritage, where the countryside meets the sea, and surrounding landscape is filled with vineyard, windmills and agricultural fields. There are several breathtaking beaches and 50 kms (over 30 miles) of signposted footpaths within a short drive. There is also have the option to purchase house wine made from backyard grapes.
