Description
Escape the hustle and bustle to our beautiful secret sylvan hideaway. The Lodge is set within acres of breathtaking woodland just two hours from London and within easy reach of the M3 and A303. Having recently been refurbished each of the rooms has wonderful views. There is plenty of room for family gatherings or getting together with friends. Please be aware this is a very rural setting and as such access is via a mile long rustic track which cuts through the woodland. The space The Lodge offers a unique stay, the woodland is awash with an ocean of bluebells during Spring. You will only be disturbed by bird song and the rustle of trees. There is plenty of space for you and your guests both inside and out with cozy log burners and warm throws for those chilly evenings and frosty mornings. However, on more balmy days throw open the bifold doors and enjoy the indoor/outdoor living with plenty of loungers to laze on and a large table for alfresco dining. You really do have 360 degree views with beautiful sunrises and sunsets only to be shared with the woodland wildlife. Sadly we are unable to accommodate children under the age of 5. The kitchen/diner comfortably seats 8 people and is well equipped with a modern top of the range kitchen for those of you who are partial to cooking up a storm! Netflix is available but you will need to log in using your own account, please don’t forget to log out before departing! We also have BBCiplayer and plenty of DVD’s and board games. Guest access You will have full access to the whole house and garden. The surrounding Woodland is privately managed so the boundaries must be observed - the host will explain in further detail on arrival. Other things to note The Lodge is surrounded by acres of privately managed woodland so it is imperative for you and your pets to stay within the Lodge Boundaries. This is to preserve the wildlife and for your own personal safety. Please be aware that The Cabin also sits within the grounds, it is approximately 150 meters adjacent however your indoor and outdoor spaces are not shared. Should you require extra space or simply want exclusivity please do get in touch with the Host for further details. Enough kindling will be supplied for at least 2 fires in the woodburner, should you require more this is available to buy from the local farm shop. We are happy to supply you with local produce for breakfast which will include sausages, bacon, eggs, bread, butter and orange juice. Payment to be made at checkin - £10 p/p per day please do let me know if you'd like to order.
