The space Access to homes on Lake Ferguson take you about 5 miles outside of Greenville to the North on Hwy 1, then a short drive crossing over the levee and onto a gravel road that parallels the "upper" section of Lake Ferguson, an oxbow lake off of the Mississippi River created when the river was straightened in efforts to make river travel easier for the towboat industry. The Overlook home is newly renovated (6/23) and offers an open floorplan for you an your guests to enjoy open views to the lake across the entire front of the house. When you step outside on the porch, you will find the option for lounging on either an uncovered deck area or a larger screened porch area. The home is built up to handle flood stages. Water access is easy with our boat ramp, and we have a floating dock for sunbathing and fishing. We use Optimum for internet service and have thus far found it about 95% reliable and fast. Guest access Overlook guest have full access to the entire home and property. Other things to note If you bring your dog, please be responsible with keeping it under your control. Our neighbor has dogs who do not need to be visited by our rental guest's dogs. We have also encountered free roaming dogs in the neighborhood and cannot attest to their friendliness. Third party bookings will be considered ONLY upon further conversation. If we find later that the guest occupying the rental is not the guest who booked the rental, we may cancel your reservation with no refund (per airbnb policy). This can make access via Lower Lake Road impossible due to high water levels. We closely monitor river levels and weather forecasts through local authorities. If flooding is anticipated that could impact your stay, we will notify you at least one week in advance and provide a full refund of your deposit (or booking fee, depending on the platform). Your safety and enjoyment are our top priorities, and we apologize for any inconvenience this natural event may cause.
