Yelapa is a vacationer’s hideaway that can only be reached by boat. Today it remains an escape from the norm and an opportunity for authentic adventure travel to a naturally beautiful Mexican village. Most famous for its waterfalls and beach the cobblestone paths, jungle fauna, and quaint restaurants and stores further add to Yelapa's charm. High season: Nov - April when weather is perfect. Border months: Oct and May. Low season: June - Sept when the rains come and it's tropical again. Casa Jungle is an ocean view with pool three bedroom/2 bath fully furnished home. To reach this secluded jungle spot with ocean view requires a climb up. Lots of stairs and uneven paths - though it is only about 5 - 8 mins walk from our main MiraMar property (centrally located on the town side). We do not recommend seniors or mobility challenged guests stay here. By requesting to book you are confirming you are comfortable with the location of the house. Bedroom 1) King Bed, Bedroom 2) Bunk Beds (queen on bottom, single on top), Bedroom 3) King Bed with mosquito net on rooftop. Sofa (folds out to king size). Large patio with hammock and lounge chairs. Private pool. The MiraMar laundry room is underneath this house. Air conditioning (1 main air conditioning unit) available in low season ONLY (May - Oct). We provide fast and reliable wifi. Air conditioning Info: Only available at night during the low season (May - Oct) beginning around 7 or 8pm. Turned off in the morning. Not available during the day so head to the beach and enjoy a swim. Not available during the high season (Nov - April) as weather is most ideal this time of year. If you require air conditioning outside of these hrs, there is a daily additional fee of $25 USD.  In addition to your private pool and patio in this house, we also have a very large rooftop patio at MiraMar where you can socialize and BBQ if you like. We use it for hosting events from time to time as well! And we have private stairs down to the beach below. It is hilly in Yelapa with lots of cobblestones paths and uneven stairs. This house is up the mountain and requires lots of stairs to access it. We have a great team who live in Yelapa and staff and office kiosk in the high season. Rustic, charming, picturesque, full of friendly people and brimming with life. This house is in the jungle and feels away from it all while being super close to town and the beach. Yelapa is a boat ride away from Puerto Vallarta (PV), which has the closest airport. You have to come by water taxi from PV or Boca de Tomatlan as there are no roads here. That last water taxi from PV generally leaves at 5:00pm but there are two later ones leaving at 6:00 and 6:30pm from Boca de Tomatlan. You must let us know 24hrs in advance which water taxi you plan to take. When you get to Yelapa, be sure to get off at the town pier (usually the 3rd stop), not Hotel Lagunita pier or the main beach. The MiraMar porter will be there to meet you and show you to the house. Tipping for their time is expected; 100 pesos, more for more than two large bags. The house will be open and we will make sure to catch you later in the day if we aren't available when you arrive. There are no roads here so everyone walks, rides horses or uses ATVs to get around. Pesos for eating out, groceries, souvenirs. Dollars for activities tend to be preferred. We provide filtered water in our houses. We offer top rated boat excursions with MiraMar Excursions, so let us know if you want to get out on the water. We can set up massages, paragliding, horseback riding, and other fun activities too. They can accept credit card payments for boat activities. All other things will need to be paid in cash. We can stock beer in your house for your arrival if you like. Options are Corona, Pacifico (case of 24 for $35/case) or Negro Modelo (case of 12 for $35/case).
