Gîte des Tournesols

Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. Gîte des Tournesols is situated in a tranquil village, with amenities within walking distance, a bar, grocery shop/coffee shop, fuel pumps, electric charging station, taxi, post office & church. Bigger towns are 15 mins drive with restaurants, street cafes, water sports, brocantes, wine tasting, & large supermarkets. Horse riding, cycling, chateau tours, can all be booked locally. 2 bedrooms, & a double sofa bed, sleeps up to 6. The space Gîte des Tournesols is a characterful cottage with a sloping roof, it’s all on one level and has open beams throughout. Large bi-fold doors open up at the front onto the private fenced & gated patio area. Which has a BBQ, alfresco dining table & 6 chairs, sun lounges & a large parasol . There is a kitchen with everything you need to cook with. Oven, hob, sink, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, champagne flutes, wine glasses, pots & pans. The shower room is a good size, with walk in shower, toilet, vanity sink unit & basin, with storage drawers, bathroom cabinet & a heated towel radiator. The Dining area seats 6 comfortably. Living room area with sofa, double sofa bed, tv, dvd player, books, dvd’s, & a trunk/coffee table. Bedroom 1 - double bed with a walk in wardrobe, with hanging space & clothes storage, Bedroom 2 with 2 single beds. It’s very light and airy accommodation. Private parking for 2 cars. Private patio, and shared communal gardens & driveway, all set in an enclosed gated environment. Children’s shared play area, benches dotted around the gardens for extra shade under the cherry & walnut trees, read a book, or watch the world go by. Oradour Fanais is a tranquil village where you can hear the birds singing, church bells chiming and the hum of a tractor in the distance. Bliss. Once recharged, get ready for a day or evening spent locally in one of the towns if you wish, many restaurants & street cafes, some with live music, boutiques & brocantes are in plentiful locally, along with chateau’s for a tour. The river Vienne is close by with ample watersports available throughout the summer, also zip wiring is available across the river too, for the adrenaline fans. Many swimming pools with slides are local and swimming lakes with beaches too. Come and enjoy your holiday with us. We are sure you will have a good time. If you want to holiday with friends or family, we do have 2 other gites on the same complex, Gîte des Roses & Gîte des Lavandes. Roses sleeps up to 6 like Tournesols & Lavandes sleeps up to 4. They are still separate & private, but you are in the same grounds. We can offer group bookings. Guest access Coming through the wrought iron gates you enter the Gîte des Fleurs grounds. Drive along the gravel driveway and you will find your Gites parking spaces. Gîte des Tournesols parking sign will be on the wall. There are your 2 spaces. Gîte des Tournesols is signposted with an arrow from the parking spaces. It also has a sign on the gate, and a swing sign outside the door on the wall. Aswell as your own private garden, You can access all communal spaces, gardens & Playground. Other things to note We provide bedding and towels for all beds. We do not provide bedding for the baby cot. We also provide a small welcome basket of drinks & snacks, for your enjoyment. We have fans to cool the air in the hot weather, and we have heating if you feel chilly in the winter. We also provide for our guests convenience a safe, umbrella, liquid hand soap & hand cream, shower gel, dish soap, & cleaning detergent for bathroom & kitchen. We are a none smoking property, but guests can smoke outside. We provide wall mounted ash tray boxes for your convenience.
