The space The space in this listing is the Cococana2 apartment, with the best view from the 11-meter balcony overlooking the river and the Atlantic Forest, panoramic view from the bathtub and the possibility of stargazing at night, either in the king-size bed or on the sun loungers and hammocks on the balcony. The apartment has two floors: on the ground floor, a full kitchen (fridge, electric oven, 5-burner cooktop, sandwich maker, toaster, blender, coffee maker and dishwasher), dining room and living area with a retractable and reclining sofa, 24,000 BTU hot/cold air-conditioning, 65” 4K Smart TV with Netflix, fans and glass doors that give direct access to the balcony. Two steps separate the living room from the toilet on the right, the second bedroom on the left, and the stairs to the master suite. Going up the stairs with large windows, you reach the suite on the right (the door on the left is always locked, belonging to Flat2 – which can be rented separately if another couple wants to come and connect with this apartment). The bedroom has a 43” Smart TV, hot/cold air conditioning, ceiling fan and balcony overlooking the river. The skylight above the king-size bed opens and closes with a switch, allowing you to see the stars at night without getting up and avoiding the sun in the morning. The bathroom has a bathtub with a lovely view, a double sink and a spacious shower. The second bedroom (24 m²) can also be rented separately in another listing, equipped with hot/cold air conditioning, fast Wi-Fi (1 Gbps with backup), Smart TV with Netflix, fan, full kitchen, oven, microwave, refrigerator, wheelchair-friendly bathroom, balcony overlooking the river and window to the waterfall. Outside the apartment, all guests can enjoy the attractions of the old water park for free: river area with a waterslide, forest trails, game room, and natural pools with waterslides. The shared areas are detailed in the description of the photos. The rustic tropical site is ideal for those who want to stay close to the beaches of Ilhabela, amidst nature, peace and tranquility. A former tourist attraction on the island in the 80s/90s, today we share the water park exclusively with our guests. The river has three waterfalls; two of them form weak current wells, perfect for natural pools. The upper bank of the river is spacious and has a large waterslide for adventurers. Access to the other side of the river is by bridge, leading to trails in the Atlantic forest. Other attractions include two natural pools with a waterslide – a small, shallow one for children, and a large, deep one with a long waterslide. There are eight independent accommodations on the site: **With pet acceptance:** * Two-story chalet with queen size bed, barbecue and star view (max. 2 people). * White house with backyard, swimming pool, barbecue, 2 suites (one with king size bed and bathtub overlooking the stars), balcony with pool table and river view (max. 6 people). * All-wood European chalet with fireplace among pine trees, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom (max. 4 people). **No pets:** * Cococana Apartment: kitchen, dining and living room with large balcony, suite on the 1st floor with king size bed, balcony and bathroom with bathtub (max. 2 people). * Flat1 and Flat2: first floor, river and star views; Flat2 accommodates up to 4 people, Flat1 up to 2 people. * Flat3: ground floor, wheelchair and stroller accessible, overlooking the river. * Ground floor suite: bedroom with bathroom and small balcony next to the shared barbecue. * Apartment2 (this listing): combination of Cococana + Flat3, accommodating up to 4 people. Guest access Guests of this listing can access all outdoor areas and attractions of the old water park, such as the river with a waterslide, the natural pools with waterslides, the barbecue grills, the game room, and the trails in the woods across the river. Access to other accommodations and private areas is only allowed for the same group or with the authorization of the guest responsible for the reservation. Other things to note This apartment has no shared rooms! It is located between two other small flats in the same complex, so there may be some noise from the other guests. We are in the midst of nature, which brings many animals and natural elements, such as leaves and dust from the trees. Beautiful birds (parrots, toucans, woodpeckers), butterflies, wild animals, and insects are part of the scenery — including spiders that build webs at night in the outdoor areas. It is not possible to keep the outdoor areas 100% clean, as the wind quickly brings leaves and dust. Ilhabela is also known for its sand flies; we recommend using repellent every 30 minutes to better enjoy the site and the beaches. At night, there are no borrachudos. On the property, we have the Dalmatian dogs Zap and Maia (the caretaker's), our Pomeranian Pomi, and two cats that are only inside the main house. The waterfalls and the color of the river can vary according to periods of drought or rain, just as the flowers have their flowering seasons. There are no lifeguards or monitors; the use of the attractions is 100% the responsibility of the guests, a rule that must be accepted at the time of booking. The property is quiet, away from the street, with only two neighbors: an inn and a family home. The caretaker and his family live at the entrance and are always available to help. On the land there is a complex/building with 1 apartment, 3 flats and 1 suite for rent, all with independent entrances. The ground floor is accessible for wheelchairs and baby carriages; on the 1st floor, two flats with partitions on the balconies can be connected for groups of up to 6 people. Also, there are 2 cottages and 1 house scattered around the site. We have high-speed internet/Wi-Fi (1000 Mbps fiber) with UPS, ensuring connection even if there is a power outage, and a Vivo backup line. Each accommodation has at least one Amazon Alexa Echo Dot (3rd generation) for music and information. Guests receive 1 bath towel per person and 1 hand towel. Towel change is offered after 7 nights. We also provide sheets, pillowcases, pillows and microfiber blankets. We do not provide beach towels, water filters, chairs or umbrellas for outdoor use.
