De Boterhal - stylish cottage on a nature farm

The Boterhal is one of the most beautiful vacation homes on our green farm, Huize Blokland, in the middle of the West Frisian landscape. As the name reveals, this cozy cottage is built in the former cheese factory, overlooking the high-stem fruit orchard and the free-range chickens, sheep, cow and friendly cats. The farm is located 3 km from the IJsselmeer and 10 km from Enkhuizen, Hoorn and Medemblik. Ideal for couples or parent(s) with a (small) child who love the outdoors The space Stylish vacation cottage ideal for couples (possibly with 1 child in a travel cot/camping bed) on our cozy farm. We have a cow, sheep, chickens and cats, and they all love to be cuddled. This cottage is the icing on the cake: We have put all our creativity and love into it, and almost everything is handmade and custom-made. There are glass walls on all sides, so you can enjoy the sweeping views. There is a beautiful handmade and fully equipped kitchen, a dining table in front of a glass façade, a comfortable double bed overlooking the orchard, and you can watch TV with a Chromecast on a TV stand from grandma's time. The bathroom has a toilet, a washbasin and a rain shower. There are terraces on both sides, so you can sit in the sun all day long and overlook the centuries-old orchard with roaming animals, where small fires are sometimes lit in the summer and where you'll occasionally find some tents or campers. The entire cottage has underfloor heating, so it is always wonderfully warm (especially in the winter). Pets are welcome for 10 euros per pet per day (to be settled upon arrival). Guest access Our cozy farmyard invites you to lie in the grass of the orchard, read a book in the sun or cuddle with the animals. Children can ride around on pedal tractors and go-karts, swing on the rings, jump on the trampoline and play in the sandbox. In season, you can pick apples and pears and harvest from the vegetable garden. There is a fire pit where you can make a fire to your heart's content. On rainy days, children can play in the barn, where there is a shared kitchen, tables, a sitting area, a hammock, game cabinet, ping-pong table and snooker table.
