De Boterhal - vacation home on nature farm

On our natural farm Huize Blokland, we built four beautiful apartments in the old cheese factory. Adjacent to our highest fruit orchard, you can enjoy the view of the trees of almost two centuries old and the permaculture flower and vegetable garden. From your window you can see chickens, sheep and in winter the cow. Located in the West Frisian countryside, 3 km away from the IJsselmeer and 10 km away from Enkhuizen, Hoorn and Medemblik. The space Stylish cottage ideal for couples (with possibly 1 child in a travel cot/camp bed) on our cozy farm. We have a cow, sheep, chickens and cats that all love to be cuddled. This cottage is the icing on the cake: we have all our creativity and love tucked in here and almost everything is hand and custom made. There is glass on all sides so you can enjoy the wide view. There is a beautiful handmade and fully equipped kitchen, a dining table for a glass front, a comfortable double bed overlooking the orchard and TV you can watch with a chromecast on a grandmother's time TV furniture. The bathroom has a toilet, sink and rain shower. There are terraces on both sides so you can sit in the sun all day long and overlook the centuries-old orchard with scrambling animals and where small fires are sometimes fired in the summer and occasionally there are some tents or camper. The entire cottage has underfloor heating, so it is always wonderfully warm (especially in winter). Pets are welcome for 10 euros per animal per day. Guest access Our grooming farmyard invites you to lie in the grass of the orchard, read a book in the sun or cuddle with the animals. Children can ride around on stair tractors and go-karts, wave the rings, jump on the trampoline and play in the sandbox. In season you can pick apples and pears and harvest them from the vegetable garden. There is a fire pit where you can make fire to your heart's content. On rainy days, children can play in the Stable, where there is a communal kitchen, tables, a sitting area, a hammock, games cabinet, ping pong table and snooker table.
