The Dreamcatcher's View cottage lies in a beautiful mountain valley the indigenous Khoi herders called Xairu! which means 'Paradise'. People from all walks of life have settled here to experience a less frenetic way of life in a breathtakingly beautiful natural environment. The village is an interesting place to visit, to rest and relax, to soak up the peaceful ambience, to walk along the riverbank or, for the more adventurous, to hike/cycle the lower slopes of the mountain. The space This lovely new-build cottage is in the heart of the Suurbraak village, just behind the historic village square. The cottage sleeps 4 guests, comes fully-equipped for a self-catering visit and is comfortably furnished with lovely finishing touches. There are 2 bedrooms, an ensuite and a family bathroom. The kitchen, dining and lounge area offer an open-plan flow with sliding doors leading out onto a wattle-fenced patio and braai area. The kitchen comes with quality self-catering equipment and appliances, including a fridge, gas and electric stove and a microwave. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, built-in cupboards and an en-suite. It also has direct access onto a covered verandah with mountain views. Bedroom 2 has two single beds and a built-in cupboard. It too has the full view of the mountain. The 1250 sq meter grounds provide ample space to relax, unwind and soak up the sun. The garden has been landscaped with lawn, indigenous shrubs, herbs and young trees. Guest access Guests will have sole access to the entire property. Other things to note Surrounding properties showcase examples of permaculture and small scale subsistence farming. Free range farm animals, including sheep, cattle, chickens and horse-drawn carts occasionally pass by and add to a memorable experience of the rhythm and simplicity of village life.
