Suburban Garden on 1.5 acres with pool and hot tub
Description
Your ideal family getaway awaits on Grand Rapids’ west side, just ten minutes from downtown, yet tucked at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac where nature thrives. With a private in-ground pool, year-round hot tub, and plenty of room to gather, our home offers the perfect blend of retreat and convenience. The space We find ourselves away most weekends now and have decided to share our beautiful, natural space with guests to enjoy when we can’t. Updated throughout, the house features six bedrooms (sleeping twelve), three full bathrooms, a main-floor master suite, and generous living and dining spaces. Enjoy cozy evenings by the indoor fireplace or head downstairs to the theatre room with a projector and 9’ screen. Outside, 1.5 acres of wooded beauty offer a spacious deck, fire pit, lounge areas, outdoor dining, and a fenced 18x36 pool with a “jumping board” (open Memorial Day–mid-September). The hot tub is open year-round. A charming 3-season room overlooks the backyard, a perfect spot for morning coffee or nightcap under the trees. You’ll have the entire home, pool, and hot tub to yourself. With over 37 tree varieties, protected wetlands, and frequent visits from deer, birds, and tree frogs, the property feels like its own small sanctuary. Walk to restaurants, a mini-golf course, ice cream shop, and convenience store; find more dining, groceries, gas, and a large nature preserve within a mile. Bike trails, breweries, music venues, Millennium Park, and Frederik Meijer Gardens are all close by, with Lake Michigan beaches just forty minutes away. Guest access Entry is via electronic keypad. As we still live here, a few areas remain off-limits: the garage, two closets, and a utility room. A separate working sculpture studio sits at the edge of the property; please avoid that small area. Other things to note Our home is in a peaceful residential neighborhood, ideal for respectful groups who appreciate quiet. The house runs on well and septic (with wonderfully fresh water!); please flush only natural waste and toilet paper.
