The Penny Lilac

Forget your worries at The Penny Lilac, Brayford where you get the best of coast and countryside. Nestled on the edge of Exmoor National Park it's rural without being remote. Just 9 miles from Barnstaple and 6 miles from South Molton. Woolacombe and Saunton's golden sandy beaches are just 30 minutes by car and you can be on the wilds of Exmoor in minutes. The space A spacious, homely 2 bed cottage that can be set up as a king and double or a king and twin ideal for both couples or families to retire to after a day exploring the countryside or lounging on the beach. The cottage has a large entrance hall, with space to store your walking boots after a day on the tarka trail. The lounge diner has two comfy sofas and a log burning stove, perfect for curling up in front of on the chillier autumn evenings. An initial basket of logs is provided. If you choose to eat in rather than sampling some of the amazing local food, that's not a problem. The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, cooker, fridge freezer and microwave. We've attempted to ensure that it has all the cooking utensils you will need. Upstairs there is a dressing table and mirror on the landing, with hairdryer and straighteners provided. The King Size room has a double wardrobe with drawer and bedside cabinets. It can be made into a twin with two single beds on request. The Double room looks out over the countryside and has a chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. The large family bathroom, has an electric shower, heated towel rail and wc. Guest access The property has it's own front and back entrances, along with a small paved courtyard garden. Garden furniture is provided for those sunnier days when you just want to enjoy a good book and a cup of tea in the garden. Other things to note There is no mobile phone signal in Brayford, however the property does have a good Wifi connection so Wifi calls can be made. There is a smart TV with a freesat box.
