Maison de la source - between the Loire and Morvan

This former forge mansion dating back to the 18th century with its beautiful barn and vaulted porch classified as a remarkable heritage exudes rustic and elegant charm. Built on two vaults housing a spring, with its stones, exposed beams and cheekbones, it was recently rehabilitated with refinement. Being facing a garden and a 1.2 ha wooded meadow crossed by a stream and surrounded by hills , the atmosphere of the site is picturesque and soothing. The space Arriving on the Perron of the Maison de la Source, we arrive in the open entrance on the large living room crossing on the left. on our right there is the dining table and the open kitchen. facing us is the dishwasher dresser. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, gas hobs, a kettle, a coffee machine, a toaster and the whole . A kitchen lighter hangs above the plates. From the kitchen we access the laundry room where the refrigerator and washing machines are located. This laundry room takes us to the toilet and bathroom on the ground floor. Leaving the laundry room we return to the entrance, in front of the large living room there is the cozy little living room with a second fireplace, turntables vinyl two sofas including a fold-out sofa. This second living room can be converted into a fifth double bedroom thanks to the fold-out sofa. Facing the entrance, the wide stone staircase leads upstairs where a large open office landing distributes four double bedrooms including a suite with a lion paste bath and a vanity as well as a hallway leading to the upstairs toilet and the second bathroom with its shower. From the porch we face the large garden with its majestic common ash trees and Sylvestre pine which extends into its 1.2Ha landscaped meadow crossed by the creek Saint-Bonnot. a path is drawn and leads us to mowed spaces where one can enjoy the light of sunset. A walk is arranged along the creek. To the left of the house, there is the workshop where you will have access to the garden tables, sun loungers, plancha and extension cords from which you can plug in a lamp to illuminate the tree at night. a 17th century vault classified as a heritage of Nivernais leads to the barn and a second garden out of sight. Enjoy the serenity and symphony of birds that live there. Guest access When you arrive by Car in front of the garden gate, you can park a few meters in front of the roadside gate. Please do not enter the garden with any car. Other things to note Although the Maison de la Source faces only the meadow of the hills and the forest, it sits at the bottom of the very serene village of Saint-Bonnot. For this reason, it is requested not to respect the tranquility of the place and not to organize a party.
