Description

This brand new modern home is lakefront to Lake Atitlan Guatemala, the most beautiful lake in the world. Powered only by the sun, this green energy home has 4 bedrooms and 3.5 half baths with a large heated pool, futbol (soccer) field, firepit, and modern dock. Come to relax and get away, but if you want to get some work done, enjoy highspeed Starlink internet with a powerful mesh wifi network, multiple work desks and monitors. Residential area, yet only 5 min walk to restaurants and bars. The space The property is about 4,000sqm, 1 acre, 45,000 sqft. The property includes two homes (Casa Toli, and Toli Villa 2), futbol field, pool, hot tub, natural back garden, boat house, dock, and fruit garden (soon to be). Casa Toli has access to all except for the hot tub and boat house. We are proud to be fully off grid to include a large solar system. The house has whole house filtration so all water is safe for consumption, and there is additional reverse osmosis at a dispenser at the kitchen sink and the fridge. There is no road access to most lakefront properties on the north side of Lake Atitlan. We are part of that majority that doesn’t have road access. The majority of people go to Panajachel and then take a boat from the dock in Panajachel to Santa Cruz. The boat is about 10 mins from Pana.  Parking in Pana is about $10 a day. Private boat ride to Santa Cruz is about $15 to $45 depending on group size and time of day. We can help coordinate the parking and boat ride for you. The parking has security 24 hours a day. It is nice to be in areas without roads because it is much quieter and more charming.  Also, boat rides are an everyday part of Lake Atitlan, and part of the fun and adventure.  There are multiple restaurants 5-15 minutes walking distance from our home. To get to other towns on the lake, you will take public or private boats. Guest access The futbol (soccer) field is private to the property, but it is not exclusive to this Airbnb listing. The other house on the property, Casa Toli Villa 2, has access, as well as for kids and adults outside the property for scheduled practices and/or games. The field has practices and games on it multiple times per week. There a doors with locks that separate the field from the houses and pool. If you don't want anyone to use the field during your stay, or for specific days during your stay, we are open to adding a private field fee of $40 per day. We must have advanced notice to consider this request. Other things to note The pool hours are 0700-2100 Sunday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday the pool hours are 0700-2200. The washer and dryer machines are restricted to only be used 8am - 2pm. Because we are off grid solar, there may be occasions of limited sun where the amount of use of the dryer is limited. Scorpions, spiders, and ants are a normal part of Lake Atitlan living. No matter how clean we keep the home, these critters are a fact of life on Lake Atitlan no matter where you stay. Scorpion bites hurt, but are not known to cause notable harm. The large spiders are not known to bite or have poison. Most ants are black, some may be red and can bite. If you see more than a couple scorpions and/or spiders at any one time, or an ant infestation, please let us know and we will help.
